Bible Reading: Acts 9:36, James 1:27

Memory Verse:  But he’s already made it plain how to live, what to do, what GOD is looking for in men and women. It’s quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, And don’t take yourself too seriously— take God seriously. Micah 6:8 (MSG)

It was Sarah Fielding who said, “The words of kindness are more healing to a drooping heart than balm or honey”. Be provoked unto kindness by these testimonies:

1. In October 2019, at the age of 95, former President Jimmy Carter fell at his home in Plains, Georgia. The fall resulted in a head injury that required 14 stitches above his brow. Despite this accident, Carter remained determined to participate in the Habitat for Humanity event in Nashville, Tennessee.

2. Latonya Young, a single mom of three and an Uber driver in Atlanta, is thankful to a passenger who helped her achieve her lifelong dream — graduating from college. Latonya, 43, never expected her ride with Kevin Esch, a passenger she picked up after an Atlanta United soccer game would change her life.

Latonya works as a hairstylist during the day and drives for Uber at night. She told Kevin how she had to put her education on hold several times in order to raise her kids. She dropped out of high school at 16 and later had to leave Georgia State University in 2011 because she couldn’t afford to pay a $700 fee.

A few days after their ride, Kevin paid off Latonya’s school balance unanimously. When the school called to say she could register for classes, Latonya was shocked. She couldn’t believe a stranger would do something so kind.

Latonya finished her studies, earning an associate degree in criminal justice. She worked hard, keeping up her grades as a way to thank Kevin. Now, she’s planning to continue her education and hopes to become a lawyer one day.

Challenge: How many persons or families would be proud of your kindness when you leave this world? Stop living for yourself. Show a little kindness. “Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see” – Mark Twain

Quote: No one is remembered for how much he earned, but by how much he gave!

Prophetic Decree: May the good Lord give you a heart of goodness and kindness, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. I receive grace to focus on eternal values, in Jesus name.

2. I receive grace to discern in this wicked world. My good shall not be used against me, in Jesus name.

3. O Lord, please bless me so that I will be able to bless others, in Jesus name.

4. My Father, bless me and I shall be blessed, in Jesus name.

5. Help me, O Lord, not to forget your favour and kindness unto me towards others when you lift me, in Jesus name.

POWER FOR HONOURABLE CONNECTION (2)

In life, destiny is not fulfilled in isolation. God often uses people as bridges to the next level of a man’s life. Many doors that prayer open are entered through honourable connections. When God wants to lift a man, He connects him to the right people...

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (2)

One of the greatest dangers in the life of a believer is not the sins everyone can see, but the ones that hide quietly in the heart. These sins rarely attract attention, yet they slowly drain spiritual strength and weaken a man’s destiny. Hebrews 12:1 says, “Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles”...
