Mummy Betty Laser saw her career from a different perspective – as a mission field evangelist. The now 90 year-old-white woman led likes of Bishop David Oyedepo to Christ in the year 1969, together with other students of hers while she taught Christian Religious Knowledge (CRK) for 30 years. Nothing makes you happy than to see some of your products doing great in life and destiny. I was also challenged when a Commissioner for Health in one of the states in Nigeria shared the testimony of leading over 40 people to Christ in one day! That is true influence. Many are yet to discover the purpose of their lifting. Use your influence to promote God’s kingdom on earth.
Friends, don’t joke with the opportunity God is giving you to make a difference where you are be it in your neighborhood, at work, in your business, office, etc. I once challenged a sister who I perceive to be a light amidst darkness. She is surrounded by many people in need of salvation and deliverance in her place of work, but she seems only interested in her pay package. Are you in similar shoes where you see your place of work for strictly business despite the huge investment of eternity over your life? Why must you continue to be a secret disciple? Can one light a candle and put it under a bushel? When will you start seeing yourself as an ambassador of heaven anywhere you are on earth? Evangelism in the market place!
There are so many lights in our Churches of today. Go and shine in darkness. We are a light to the world and not light to the Church. Know also that you must be creative with the gospel especially when you have an hostile boss. You could start with a tract, or forward the soft copy/hard copy of a devotional such as this to your colleagues, or tag Jesus on your table in the office/car, etc. Just wait upon the Lord for the most suitable evangelism strategy per time. As time goes on, you could start organizing a lunch hour fellowship. Some big ministries today whose impact is felt all over the world started from such small fellowships.
However, many lack the moral, spiritual and ethical courage to show their colleagues the way of God because they are full of compromise, bribery, womanizing and kick backs; they also do shady and dirty deals just like their other unbelieving colleagues. Let me remind you that you will give account of those souls to God on the judgement day. Come out today from amongst them and be separated. Friendship with the world is enmity with God. Lift up the banner of Christ in your place of work. Will someone hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church today?

4. Holy Spirit, please move my life forward by fire, in Jesus name.
5. I come against any altar of unrighteousness in my heart, and in my place of work, in Jesus name.
6. I destroy every stronghold and altar of darkness in my place of work, in Jesus name.
7. Fresh unquenchable fire of evangelism, come upon my heart, in Jesus name.
