STORAGE CELLS OF THE ANOINTING

STORAGE CELLS OF THE ANOINTING

Bible Reading: 2 Kings 5: 8-15

Memory Verse:So Naaman went down to the Jordan River and dipped himself seven times, as the man of God had instructed him. And his skin became as healthy as the skin of a young child, and he was healed! 2 Kings 5:14 (NLT)

By storage cells of the anointing we mean objects or things that can house or preserve the power of God. The power of God can be stored in a living and non-living thing; material and immaterial objects. The body of dead Elisha raised up a corpse in 2 Kings 13:21. Prophet Elisha used a stick to bring out a metallic axe head from under the water (2 Kings 6:6). Your hands, your voice, your presence, you bed, your shadow, your book, etc., can carry the effectual power of God. Batteries store electrical charges. Similarly, there are spiritual batteries for the storage of the power of God. Common storage cells for the power of God include:

1. Anointing oil: The radical brother who brought out his anointing oil in the airport when a fellow started to convulse and the convulsion was reversed. What do you do when you wake up to find strange animal faeces, sacrifice, etc. around your house, or office premises? Break the yoke by the anointing.

2. Water: River Jordon housed the power of God needed for Naaman’s healing. Apostle Ayo Babalola was known to pray in water with great signs and wonders following. 17-year spirit of insanity departed from the two children of a very wealthy woman when they drank the anointed water prayed upon by a servant of God.

3. Mantle / Apron: Acts 19:11-12 says, “And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.”

Take note: Anything an anointed man of God touch becomes anointed and it can generate great result when used in faith. A simple handshake from God’s chosen servant can take the work of your hands to the next level of career success. Again, our faith should not be in mantle, oil or water but in the infallible power of the everlasting God. Don’t make a doctrine out of any of these things. Only use them as led.

Be warned: Familiarity leads to contempt. Familiarity with an anointed man of God should not make you despise his words, instructions or counsel. You do so at your own detriment. Again, flee from wolves in sheep clothes who call themselves prophet but make merchandize of the gospel; collecting people’s money by selling so- called anointed water, anointing oil, and aprons. Freely have you received, freely must you give (Matthew 10:8b).

Quote: Anointing can be tapped and trapped.

Prophetic Decree: May the Lord use you as an Elisha in this generation.

Prayer Focus

1. Father we thank You for your wonder working power.

2. I break the yoke of powerlessness in my life, in Jesus name.

3. O Lord, make me a carrier of your power and fire, in my generation.

4. Every nonsense in my life, clear away my fire, in Jesus name.

5. My life, voice, presence, seat, etc. shall be demonstrate the raw power of God, in Jesus name.
