THE TESTIMONY OF A TEENAGE GIRL

“Everything changed for me in the tenth grade, one unforgettable night at school. I was 15. This guy and I are friends, but that night, he asked me to go for a work with him. He grabbed my hands, and we started heading to the stadium.

He kept stopping to kiss me and tell me how pretty I was. I was nervous, but I was also flattered. I had been feeling so self –conscious about my looks. Anyway, one thing led to another…

I couldn’t keep it a secret. I was so scared I was pregnant. I had this feeling that something was going on inside of me. A few weeks later, I took a home pregnancy test, and it showed a very faint pink line. I yelled for my mom, and later that day, we were at the doctor’s office. The doctor did a blood test, then came back, lowered his glasses and said, “Positive,” in a stern voice.

It is hard to be a expectant mother and go to school. I stopped when I was 6 months pregnant. What about my boyfriend? Hum… another story!”

Teenage pregnancy is pregnancy in human females under the age of 20 at the time that the pregnancy ends. This comes with its attending challenges. God frowns at any form sexual intercourse outside wedlock. 1Thes.4:3-5. Voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and a partner other than the lawful spouse is called Adultery while fornication is a voluntary sexual intercourse between persons not married to each other. God hates both Adultery and fornication. (Exo.20:14, 1Cor.6:18). A pregnant teenager has committed a sin against God and her body. “Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body.” 1Cor.6:18(NLT). May God forgive such a teenager and restore such back unto him in Jesus name.

Pregnant teenagers don’t only face normal challenges which every pregnant women faces, there are other additional medical complications such as low birth weight of the child, premature labor, anemia etc

Nevertheless, are you a pregnant teen reading this devotional, please don’t consider abortion. This will amount to another sin against God. (Prov.6:16-17, Deut.27:25). Take responsibility for your actions. Ask for God’s forgiveness and forgive the person(s) involved. GRACE!

ACTION WORD:       DON’T BE A VICTIM OF YOUR OWN FOOLISHNESS.

PRAYER POINT:

  1. Every agenda of the enemy to ruin my destiny shall not prosper in the name of Jesus name
  2. I receive grace to follow the plan of God for my life in Jesus name.
