Bible Reading: Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

Memory Verse:  The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. Psalm 111:10 (NIV)


There are many Christians who don’t fear God in words and deeds:

1. If you fear God, you will not sleep with another person’s wife/husband.

2. If you fear God, you will not take the money that isn’t yours. 

3. If you fear God, you will not pretend to love or backbite the same person before his/her helpers.

4. If you fear God, you will not steal Church’s money.

5. If you fear God, you will not go to an herbalist for a child due to impatience, and share a testimony in Church on God’s holy altar.

6. If you fear God, you will never take what is not yours.

7. If you fear God, you will stay glued to your calling come rain, come sunshine.

8. If you fear God, you will not beat your spouse.

9. If you fear God, you will not loot the treasury of your department, family, organisation, Church, or nation. 

10. If you fear God, you will not take advantage of a vulnerable sister/brother.

11. If you fear God, you will not use your fellow human (worst still, your parents or siblings) for money ritual.

12. If you fear God, you will not dupe people of their hard-earned money.

13. If you fear God, you will flee from societal vices such as yahoo yahoo (Internet fraud), kidnapping, mayhem, thuggery, prostitution, substance abuse, etc.

14. If you fear God, you will not dishonour your parents, teachers, or mentors.

15. If you fear God, you will not pretend to be what you are not. 

16. If you fear God, your yes will be yes, and your no will be no.

17. If you fear God, you will not go to the Church on Sunday and rob your fellow Church members at night.

18. If you fear God, you will not follow your own ambition at the expense of God’s ultimate purpose for your life.

19. If you fear God, you will obey God unconditionally.

20. If you fear God, you will not steal from your company/Church’s purse.

21. The bitter truth is that many who call themselves pastors, ministers, workers, or believers do not fear God. Infact, some are not born again. Be careful of the deceitfulness of riches or the euphoria of the anointing. By their fruit, we shall know them.

Prophetic Decree:  May the grip of the fear of God deliver you from your sin, self, and worldliness, in Jesus name. 

Prayer Focus 

1. Today, I raise a new altar of the fire of the fear of Christ upon my heart, in Jesus name. 

2. Spirit of the fear of God, overshadow my heart, in Jesus name. 

3. I receive fresh grace to honour and reverence God with the whole of my heart, in Jesus name. 

4. My Father, deliver me from besetting sins, in Jesus name  

5. Foundational grip of sin in my life, break, in the name of Jesus.
