Bible Reading:  Luke 15: 11-32

Memory Verse: And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. Luke 15:20

We shall continue with the testimony of Yvette who God rescued from the yoke of alcohol but that was not the end of her story yet. After some time, she left church and reverted to her old sinful ways taking drugs. But one morning, Yvette woke up feeling it would be a new day. She went to a park to gather her thoughts. “Something spoke to me: ‘Worship God. Lift up your hands and worship God,’” she said. “That voice kept coming to me and got so overwhelming.” She was prompted to lift her hands. Then, “something began to happen. I started to cry and couldn’t stop crying,” she said. “I started feeling the presence of God, His holiness, His love, His mercy. It was like I wasn’t even at the park. I was in front of His throne. It was God. “When I felt His presence, I started saying I’m so sorry for ever walking away. His forgiveness and love and mercy were just so beautiful. I felt a new creation born in me. God told me: You are no longer bound to sin, to addiction, to anxiety. I have rescued you from darkness.”

Are you in your backsliding state? Oh, you’ve given up on God? Or, you’ve concluded that this pilgrim’s journey is not for someone like you. Perhaps, you have repented several times before the Lord in altar calls, I’m happy to inform you that our God is a God of another chance. Like the prodigal son, you can come back into the house of your father, He sent His only begotten Son because of you. There’s grace in the house.

I will like to encourage ministers and all co-labourers in the kingdom not to easily let go of those rehabilitating from addiction to drugs, alcohol, sex or other social menace because an addiction is broken only in the process of time.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:  Job 1-5.

Quote:  Mercy pulls a man out of the miry clay and favour stands him on the Rock of ages.

Prophetic Decree: May the grace of God that brings mercy and favour be sufficient for you this year.

Prayer Focus:

  1. I break the grip of the power of death and hell drawing me closer to hell, in Jesus name.
  2. My Father, deliver me from spiritual kwashiorkor, in Jesus name.
  3. Thunder fire of God; destroy every altar in my father’s house drawing me back in my journey with Jesus.
  4. With your broom of fire, O God, sweep away every love of the world in my heart, in Jesus name.
  5. I receive an insatiable quest for more of Jesus in Jesus name.

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (1)

The Quiet Destroyers are otherwise known as Secret Sins That Ruin Destiny. Many destinies have not been destroyed by loud sins, but by quiet ones. The sins nobody sees. The ones people excuse. The ones hidden behind reputation, ministry, intelligence, or success. Yet heaven sees them clearly. The Bible says, “Be sure your sin will find you out” (Numbers 32:23). Secret sins do not remain secret forever. They slowly weaken the soul until a man who once carried promise begins to lose weight in the spirit...

THE DANGER OF SECRET SIN

Bro. Gbile Akanni once shared a sobering story that has stayed in my heart for many years. He spoke about an elderly evangelist whom God used mightily in the past. In those days there was no television, only radio. When this man of God preached, people would gather around their radios. Sometimes he would say, “Place your hand on the radio.”...

INVESTING IN GOD’S PRESENCE

Many people understand the idea of investing. You put time, money, or effort into something today because you expect a greater return tomorrow. Farmers invest seeds into the soil. Business people invest money into opportunities. Students invest time into studying...
