Memory Verse: Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. 2 Timothy 4:2 (NLT)

Rev. Samson Ajetomobi shared a striking testimony. He said, “One day I was going to preach. I had no money for a taxi. I tried to enter a pick-up, and the man drove off while my clothes were hooked. He dragged me on the road and my legs began to bleed.” Most people would have turned back. After all, isn’t that a valid excuse? Pain, injury, inconvenience—these are reasons many believers step back from even the smallest act of obedience. But not him!

He rolled his trouser soaked with blood and patches of his skin, and entered the meeting to preach. This is not normal Christianity. This is conviction. This is a heart that understands that the gospel is not a convenience. It is a calling.

Something remarkable happened that day: “There was one difficult, satanic man in that church. It was my bleeding leg that got him saved. He began to cry, ‘You still came to preach with wounds? I want your kind of Jesus.’”

Notice this: it was not just the sermon; it was the sacrifice that preached louder than words. Your inconvenience may be someone else’s conviction. Your persistence may be someone else’s salvation.

Friends, how come you are so calm? Why is there no energy within you to preach the gospel, not even to invite your neighbour to church? Many believers today are not bleeding, but they are also not speaking. They are not persecuted, but also not passionate. They are comfortable, but ineffective.

Who told you that your kindness to invite that person can’t become the answer to the person’s need? Sometimes, the miracle someone is waiting for is hidden in a simple invitation. A message. A conversation. A step of boldness.

Other important lessons about evangelism:

I. The gospel is best preached with your life.

II. Don’t neglect the place of power. What one power demonstration will do, many preaching may not do.

III. God can use your scars and pain to bring many to Him. Remember, all things work together for good to them that love Him.

IV. Your social media platforms shouldn’t be a den for ungodly activities. Use it, among other godly activities, to win souls for Jesus.

V. Some will be called to be full time preachers while others will be sent to the entertainment world, tech world, educational systems, politics, hospitality, as professionals, etc. No assignment is greater than the other. Simply discover your sphere of influence and stay faithful!

1. Lord, rekindle my passion for souls.

2. Holy Spirit, please deliver me from excuses and spiritual laziness, in Jesus name.

3. I receive boldness to share the gospel at all times, in Jesus name.

4. Lord, let my life reflect Christ in a way that draws others to Him.

5. Anti-gospel spirit such as fear, shyness, die today in Jesus name.
