THE LAW OF EQUIVALENT ADVANTAGE (1)

THE LAW OF EQUIVALENT ADVANTAGE (1)

Bible Reading:  1 Corinthians 2: 7-10
Memory Verse: But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV)

The law of equivalent advantage states that, ‘anything that has the ability to bring you down also has an equivalent ability to bring you up’. Our God is unsearchable. His wisdom is a mystery. I have a conviction in my spirit to tell a reader of this devotional that whatever the devil has planned to bring you down, or to wreck your destiny has the same capabilities and potential to suddenly turnaround and cause your upliftment into glory.

The prince of this world conspired to kill our Master Jesus. They thought such a plan will cause an end of his reign on earth. They had soon forgotten that until Jesus dies He wouldn’t be able to go into hell to strip Satan of the keys of death and hell (Ephesians 2:9), He wouldn’t be given the name above all other names (Philippians 2:10), and He wouldn’t be able to send His Holy Spirit to dwell inside of mortal men (John 14:15-31).

Same for Joseph. His ordeal with his siblings took him into the pit, then to the prison before eventually taking him to the palace as the Prime minister. He saw the hand of God in his situation so he endured the process until the law of equivalent advantage caught up with him. Psalm 105:17 (BSB) says, “He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant”. No wonder he didn’t kill, punish, or jail any of his brothers nor anyone from the house of Potiphar when he eventually became Egypt Prime Minister, rather he gave them more food, water, and shelter.

If David had become king as soon as he was anointed by Prophet Samuel, how could he have been thoroughly trained as a man of war? In the course of his ordeal in the hands of king Saul, he became a fugitive; always on the run and sleeping in caves and mountains. It may surprise you that it was during this period he recruited his team of soldiers who later became the mighty men of David. That means inherent in his problem was the needed potential to consolidate his reign as king over Israel. The law of equivalent advantage confirmed once again.

Quote:  When you are down to nothing, know for sure that God is up to something.

Prophetic Decree: In God’s mysterious ways, He shall turn the wisdom of your enemies to foolishness, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. In your mystery, O Lord, confound the works of darkness in my life. Turn their wisdom to foolishness, in Jesus name.

2. In your mysterious ways, O God, move in an unusual way in my life. Help me not to fall into the desires of my enemies, in Jesus name.

3. O Lord, help me to experience your strange acts and strange works beyond the explanation of my enemies, in Jesus name.

4. I receive the divine enablement to walk with you even when I cannot fully understand your ways, in Jesus name.

5. By the mercies of God, I shall not miss the best of God for my life, in Jesus name.
