Bible Reading: Mark 10: 46-52

Memory Verse:  And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on meMark 10:47 (NKJV)

In 1979, Elvita Adams climbed over the Empire State Building’s observation deck, 1,050 feet in the air. With just $100 to her name and facing overwhelming depression, she thought she had made her final decision. But what happened next seemed impossible. Just as she jumped, a powerful gust of wind literally ‘pushed’ her back toward the building! Instead of falling 86 floors, she landed on a ledge… just ONE FLOOR below.

Within minutes, a security guard heard her, calls for help and pulled her to safety. She survived with just a fractured pelvis. Out of ALL the tragic incidents at the Empire State Building, Elvita remains the only person to survive a fall from such a height. One split-second wind changed everything. That’s the mercy of God! And maybe that’s exactly what some of us need to hear today. When we think we’ve reached our wit’s end, only then do we give God the full permission to step in.

Do you remember the countless times you were close to financial shame and embarrassment, but the mercy of God came through for you?

I have watched various videos of near death experiences and near misses just at the nick of time.

The mercy of God kept the 99, yet came searching for only you.

The mercy of God preferred Solomon, born from one of the women during David’s sexual escapades, above other legally married wives.

Indeed, the mercy of God qualifies the chosen, and chooses the qualified.

Oh, you thought you are the best of student, only the mercy of God grants scholarship.  There are many first class students living a frustrated life. Save mercy, nothing that belongs to you will ever be yours because there are so many forces – physical and spiritual – to contend with.

Please note: The mercy of God is not only for sinners. Both sinners and Saints need the mercy of God. Mercy is the forerunner of favour.

QuoteThere has never been anyone that cried for mercy that God rejected.

Prophetic Decree: May the mercy that prevails over judgement speak for you today, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Mercy of God, speak grace for me today, in Jesus name.

2. By the mercy of God, I close the door to all the activities of witchcraft in my family, in Jesus name.

3. By the mercy of God, I command uncommon doors of lifting which hitherto had been close to open, in Jesus name.

4. By the mercy of God, I cancel all the handwriting of evil written concerning me to be burnt, in Jesus name.

5. I refuse to frustrate the mercy and grace of God, in Jesus name.
