THE MYSTERY OF IMPARTATION

Bible Reading:  Matthew 10: 40-41, Hebrews 7:7

Memory Verse:  If you receive a prophet as one who speaks for God, you will be given the same reward as a prophet. And if you receive righteous people because of their righteousness, you will be given a reward like theirs. Matthew 10:41 (NLT)

To “impart” means “to give, convey, bestow, release, transmit, or confer.” Dr Myles Munroe of blessed memory is reported to have said: A few years ago when I was much younger, I was a student at Oral Roberts University and Oral Roberts who built that University. He came on the stage of the chapel with 3,000 students in the auditorium.

I’ll never forget that day. I was a young student at my junior year and he walked on the stage with his wife. He was going to be speaking that day and he said: Today, my wife and I are celebrating 60 years of marriage anniversary, and I’m celebrating 64 years of ministry and then he said these words, “I have never been unfaithful to my wife and I have never stolen money from the ministry, ever!” 60 years of marriage, 64 years of faithful ministry with a good reputation!

I sat there in Chapel and I started weeping because I’ve never known anybody to be married that long to the same person and they are still hugging and kissing each other, publicly.

I’ve never known anyone to be in ministry for 64 years and never stole, never disgraced God and was never immoral. Over 3,000 students were there and I remember as a student, all I had in my pocket was $27. The Lord said to me, “You see that man. Do you want that character?” I said, “Yes Lord.” He said, “When a righteous man stands before you, give him a glass of water and whatever is on him will come on you.” I left the whole student body, walked to the front of the stage and everybody wasn’t sure what I was doing. The security guard was nervous. But the guard knew me, I was a student and I walked up to Oral Robert and he looked at me and he smiled. He was a very tall man. He’s almost seven feet and he said, “Young man. What are you doing?” And I took $27, with tears in my eyes, and I said, “Sir, I want what you have. I want to be married to my wife for 63 years and I want to be in ministry till I die without bad reputation.” That man reached his big hands down to me. And he took the money. Then he held my hand. He said, “Son, I release to you, The prophets reward.”

You know, today, I’ve been married for 34 years so far. I’ve been in ministry now for 47 years. If you receive the prophet in the name of a prophet, you will receive a prophet reward.

Quote: There is more to success in any field than hardwork. You must be imparted.

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (2)

One of the greatest dangers in the life of a believer is not the sins everyone can see, but the ones that hide quietly in the heart. These sins rarely attract attention, yet they slowly drain spiritual strength and weaken a man’s destiny. Hebrews 12:1 says, “Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles”...
