Bible Reading:  Matthew 7:13–14

Memory VerseBut the gate to life is very narrow. The road that leads there is so hard to follow that only a few people find it. Matthew 7:14 (CEV)

Strait of Hormuz is one of the most important waterways in the world. It sits between Iran and Oman and connects the Persian Gulf to the open ocean. Even though it is quite narrow, a huge amount of the world’s oil supply passes through it every day. Because the passage is narrow, many ships cannot move carelessly. They must follow specific lanes so that traffic flows safely. One wrong move could cause collisions or even block the passage. In simple terms, something very valuable must pass through a very narrow route.

The Spiritual Lessons

This reminds us of what Jesus said in Gospel of Matthew 7:13–14 about the narrow way. He said the road that leads to life is narrow, while the road that leads to destruction is wide. Just like the Strait of Hormuz, the path that leads to life is not broad and careless. It requires attention, discipline, and direction.

1. Valuable Things Travel Narrow Paths: The ships moving through the Strait of Hormuz often carry valuable cargo that powers nations. In the same way, believers carry something precious—the life and purpose God has placed inside them. Because of that, God often leads His people through a narrow path of obedience, character, and discipline.

2. The Narrow Way Requires Guidance: Ships crossing the Strait rely on navigation and careful direction. They cannot move randomly. Christians are the same. We need guidance from God’s Word, prayer, and the Holy Spirit. Without direction, it is easy to drift off course.

3. Narrow Does Not Mean Small: Although the Strait of Hormuz is narrow, it affects the entire world. In the same way, the Christian life may look restrictive to others, but it leads to true life and eternal reward. The world celebrates the wide road, but Jesus invites us to walk the narrow one.

The question is simple: Are you choosing the easy road, or the narrow path that leads to life?

Quote:  God’s path is not to restrict us but to protect us.

Prophetic Decree:  May the Lord establish your path in Jesus, the Way to life, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. O Lord, turn your search light upon my life today, in Jesus name.

2. I receive grace to stay on the narrow way that leads to eternal life, in Jesus name.

3. O Lord, establish me in the path of life, in Jesus name.

4. Satanic affinity with the treasures of this world, break upon my soul, in Jesus name.

5. Any material of hell fire in my life, catch fire, in Jesus name.

POWER FOR HONOURABLE CONNECTION (2)

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (2)

One of the greatest dangers in the life of a believer is not the sins everyone can see, but the ones that hide quietly in the heart. These sins rarely attract attention, yet they slowly drain spiritual strength and weaken a man’s destiny. Hebrews 12:1 says, “Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles”...
