Bible Reading: Genesis 9: 11-15
Memory Verse: Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments. Deuteronomy7:9(NIV)
Many things that look great and complex were built on simple principles e.g. the microphone, radio, cars, etc. Similarly, if you would follow simple principles that bind you to a covenant with God, your light must surely break forth. The nation of Israel has a small population of about 9 million people however, they are indestructible despite the very many enemies around them because of a mystery most of them don’t understand. The mystery of covenant! Exodus 4:22 says, “And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn“.
They are simply enjoying the covenant God made with their father Abraham. Should you try to harm any of them, be sure that covenant will speak against you. They farm on a mountain that should not grow, yet there is “something” that makes the earth to increase to them. Remember many of them today don’t believe in Jesus, yet when God looks at them, He sees Abraham and He sees the covenant! Covenant is that powerful. It is a system of authorization.
Other facts about covenant include:
13. No covenant failure is God’s fault. So, anytime the covenant seems not to be working, it is either you have not worked it out, or you have not worked it right. Either way, man must be blamed.
14. Covenant can be renewed.
15. A covenant is a system of authorization.
16. You can establish a covenant with God by following the way of the patriarchs of faith. What they did, you can also do.
17. There are different types of covenant. These include: conscious covenant, unconscious covenant, hidden covenant, etc.
18. Blood covenant is perhaps the strongest type of covenant (Lev. 17:11)
DIFFERENT TYPES OF COVENANT
1. Covenant of longevity.
2. Covenant of fruitfulness.
3. Covenant of divine provision/prosperity e.g. Isaac (Genesis 26:1-4, 12-14).
4. Covenant of kingdom service.
5. Covenant of divine preservation/protection. E.g. the people of Israel.
6. Covenant of priesthood e.g. the family of Eli and Aaron.
Quote: God will forever remain a covenant keeping God.
Prophetic Decree: Let the covenant of life crush every covenant of death hanging over your head, in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus
1. By the Word of your power, O Lord, break every yoke on my head, in Jesus name.
2. Authority of ancestral demons over my life, break by the power in the covenant blood of Jesus.
3. Jesus thou son of David, break every evil yoke of death hanging over my head, in Jesus name.
4. I command every spoken word of God to hastily come to pass in my life, in Jesus name.
5. Law of life break any law of death written against me and my family in Year 2021, in Jesus name.
