Bible Reading: Proverbs 13:4, Proverbs 21:4

Memory Verse:  Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean menProverbs 22:29 (KJV)

A father in faith said he was asked to speak at a meeting in the nation of Israel. The meeting had in attendance the president of Nigeria at that time, state governors, ministers, ambassadors and other prominent people. After the meeting, someone sent him a text message which read, “That was the product of diligence.” No wonder Proverbs 22:29 (GWT) says, “Do you see a person who is efficient in his work? He will serve kings. He will not serve unknown people.” He further said: In that meeting, I told the story of Israel to the point that the Israelis in the meeting confirmed what I said.

While flying in the aircraft for that meeting, I spent about four hours studying and making research. Someone who sat close to me, a professor from a Nigerian university asked me, “Are you preparing a thesis?” He asked this question because I sat with him for hours without blinking my eyes even though I had just left a night vigil service to catch that flight. I told him that it was a project.

Of course there is no project on earth that is more important than the project of spreading the gospel of the Kingdom. The project of changing lives, delivering souls from hell, populating heaven and depopulating hell is a great project indeed. As a student in primary, secondary or tertiary institution, how diligent are you? Diligent students don’t wait until it is examination time before they start to study. They study as a lifestyle to know and not barely to pass.

Hear me: School is not a scam. No knowledge is a waste. Be diligent! As a worker or apprentice, are you diligent? After the order of Joseph in Potiphar’s house, can your boss consider handing over his business to you to manage on her behalf? Oh, you are saying you have no work? Be diligent enough to use your skill and talent for free.

Why not decide to wash the cars of your parents and neighbour for free, or clean the Church for free, or play the Church instruments for free, etc? You will watch God connect you miraculously beyond your wildest imagination. There is a huge difference between joblessness and idleness. Circumstances may cause you to be jobless, but idleness is always self-inflicted. What is in your hands? Laziness limits potentials. Diligence and hard work releases potentials. Choose to be diligent.

Quote: No devil can stop a diligent person because principles are stronger than principalities – Dr Pastor Paul Enenche.

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (2)

One of the greatest dangers in the life of a believer is not the sins everyone can see, but the ones that hide quietly in the heart. These sins rarely attract attention, yet they slowly drain spiritual strength and weaken a man’s destiny. Hebrews 12:1 says, “Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles”...
