Bible Reading: Ezekiel 37:7, 2 Kings 7:1

Memory Verse: Whatever the LORD God plans to do, he tells his servants, the prophets. Amos 3:7 (CEV)

4 Important Points About Prophecy:

1. Prophecy Announces God’s Intention: Before God changes a situation, He often announces His plans. God told Abraham that Sarah would have a son despite her old age. Genesis 18:14 says, “At the time appointed I will return unto thee… and Sarah shall have a son.” The prophecy came first then, the miracle followed.

2. Prophecy Creates Hope: A prophetic word brings light into dark situations. When Israel was in captivity, God spoke through Jeremiah: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you… thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11. The people were still in bondage, but prophecy gave them hope for tomorrow.

3. Prophecy Rearranges Circumstances: When God speaks, invisible forces begin to work. Joseph received prophetic dreams as a teenager. At the time, he was just a shepherd boy. Yet those dreams guided his journey through betrayal, slavery, and prison until he became a ruler in Egypt. The prophecy kept moving him toward God’s purpose.

4. Prophecy Provokes Spiritual Warfare: Prophetic words are not fulfilled automatically. They often require prayer and faith. Paul told Timothy: “War a good warfare according to the prophecies which went before on thee.” (1 Timothy 1:18). When God speaks, believers must stand in faith until the word manifests.

Biblical Examples of the Power of Prophecy

I. Ezekiel and the Dry Bones: God commanded Ezekiel to prophesy to a valley full of dry bones. “So I prophesied as I was commanded.” (Ezekiel 37:7). As he spoke, dead bones came together and became a mighty army.

II. Elisha and the Famine: Samaria was suffering severe famine. Then Elisha declared: “Tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel.” (2 Kings 7:1). Within twenty-four hours, the impossible became reality.

Quote: You can prophesy from the Word by revelation, and you can prophesy by the Spirit as commanded.

Prophetic Decree: Today, I command every good prophecy hanging over your head to turn to manifestation, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

Father, thank You for the power of Your word. Every negative situation in my life shall hear Your voice and obey. Let every closed door open. Let every delayed blessing manifest. Let every force resisting my progress give way. I receive grace to believe, pray, and stand upon every promise You have spoken concerning my life, in Jesus name. Amen.
