Bible Reading: Genesis 30:2; 11:31 – 12:1, 13:14

Memory Verse: Treat others as you want them to treat you. This is what the Law and the Prophets are all about. Matthew 7:12 (CEV)

Value relationships. Many, and perhaps all that God will be doing for you will come through the people you come in contact with. When Paul came into the life of young Timothy, that relationship gave birth to a young Bishop. The presence of Jacob, a man that carries the covenant of prosperity in the house of Laban, gave birth to multiple harvest and increase unto the latter. Laban testified, “I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me for thy sake.” Genesis 30:27b (KJV). Behold the power of relationship! Some men weren’t doing too well until they got married.

The favour attached to finding a good wife provoked their star to manifest. Destiny union! This is the mystery behind team work and networking. However, it is sad but true that “time changes yesterday”. Like the local parlance says “Twenty children cannot play for twenty years”. We part to meet, and we meet to part. Provided our goals are not congruent, perhaps it is time to part without any animosity. Yes, it is possible to leave a relationship on mutual terms without any form of bitterness or pain. It is all about the maturity and understanding of the people involved. Please hear me beloved. There are people in your circle of friends that must not go with you to your next level. They will constitute a clog in the wheel of your progress. You must learn to say goodbye to such relationship. Until Lot left Abraham, God didn’t tell Abraham to “lift up his eyes” (Gen. 13:14).
No wonder Isaiah 51:2 (NKJV) says, “Look to Abraham your father, And to Sarah who bore you; For I called him alone, And blessed him and increased him.” It seems to me that it wasn’t the perfect plan of God for Abram to leave Haran with any of his family members. Even Terah, Abram’s father had to die before God called Abram (Gen. 11:31 – 12:1). What a mystery. Prophetically, that means there are family members whose star do not converge with yours. Look at it from another perspective. What is your king Jehosaphat doing with King Ahab in the battle of Ramoth-Gilead? Do you want to die prematurely? (1 kings 22:1-40). Who is that person in your place of work whose presence is bringing low sales, lost contract, mishap, etc? There are people with cursed feet and cursed hands. In wisdom, learn to say goodbye to any relationship that is inimical to the glory of God in your life, family and business. Not all that glitters is gold.
Quote: Nothing is perfect. Life could be messy. Relationships could be complex. Outcomes could be uncertain. People could be irrational.
Prophetic Decree: I cut you off from any person, power or personality slowing down your destiny, in Jesus name.
