Bible Reading: Galatians 5:22-23, Psalm 37: 7, Hebrews 6:12
Memory Verse: I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. Psalm 40:1 (NIV)
This is a revelation. A man in white held on to his hands of a little boy. They both were working majestically. A time came when this little boy became uneasy with the slow pace of the man in white. He forcefully grabbed his hands off the hands of the man in white and began to pace forward. All efforts of the man in white to call his attention to looming danger was in vain. Soon, some robbers waylaid the little boy and robbed him of his possessions. This story is depictive.
The man in white is Jesus, the young boy could be likened to be you and I, when we become hasty, impatient, or overconfident in our abilities. The robber is the devil, who has come to steal, kill, and to destroy. Be warned. We must learn to keep pace with Jesus in our pilgrimage on earth. Else, what a needless pain we would suffer. Little steps with Jesus is far better than giant steps in our own understanding. Trust not in your understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Jesus, and He will direct your path (Prov. 3: 5-7).
Nature itself speaks patience. The seed in the ground needs ample time to germinate. Before it could ever germinate, it has to die. Except a seed falls to the ground and dies, it abides alone (John 12:24). A pregnant woman has to wait for nine full months before she can be delivered of a healthy baby. Your prayers and fasting notwithstanding! Failure to wait for this stipulated time frame could result in a premature birth. No one wants a premature child. Similarly, no one wants a premature miracle.
Why the haste? When God comes through, He has come through indeed! One miracle from God is worth every second of your waiting time. Waiting time in God is not a wasted time. May the good Lord encounter you in your waiting time, and give you a miracle that will compensate for your waiting, in Jesus name.
Dear young man, don’t wreck your glorious destiny because of the mundane things of this world. Nothing in this world truly satisfies. Yahoo yahoo, ritual killing, armed robbery, Internet fraud, kidnapping, substance abuse, and other vices, will only disqualify you from the true riches that is in Christ Jesus, and multiply your sorrows eternally.
Dear young woman, prostitution, co-habitation, sleeping with lecturers, double dating, adultery, etc., will only slow down the clock of your life. Choose to walk with God. Choose to walk at the pace of Your Messiah. Choose to live in God’s timing and programme for your life.
Quote: A good meal takes a little more time than quick-fixes. Similarly, a big testimony may require a little more patience. Wait for it!
Prophetic Decree: I rebuke that foul spirit of impatience in your life, in Jesus name.

2. Holy Spirit, please work in me the virtue of patience in my walk with You, in Jesus name.
