Bible Reading: Hebrews 6:12

Memory Verse: Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer. Romans 12:12 (KJV)

One virtue many don’t want to imbibe is the virtue of patience. Our generation is on a fast lane. To be patient is to lose the consciousness of time, self, and worry of any kind while you wait upon the Lord. It is a test of your death to self. It is a sign of self-crucification. Zechariah and Elizabeth despised the shame of barrenness until God answered their prayers. Can you imagine a Priest whom God honours his prayers when he prays for others but God kept in his waiting room for several decades? His conviction and patience was truly tested for decades yet he stayed with God.

You will think some of our Fathers in ministry whom God is using to do landmark projects in billions on earth all had it smooth in the beginning. The other time a father shared that his ministry struggled to build their present office many years ago. They patiently waited upon the Lord as they pressed into a higher dimension of grace daily.

Many are tired of their situation but they haven’t imbibed the lessons of patience as they journey with God. As a result, they keep failing backward in the school of the Almighty. There are some problems God may intentionally decide not to take away immediately, dear brethren. He will walk with you and endow you with the grace to endure it patiently. That is the meaning of sufficient grace (2 Corinthians 12:9). Such a season will work patience, character, trust and perseverance, etc,  in you.

Please stop the murmuring and unnecessary accusations while you understand the reason for the season you are presently in. It is the kind of destiny that you have that will determine the rigour of your training. Receive grace to discern patiently what God is doing in your life per time, and the pathway He is taking you, and the rigour in your training which you have been supernaturally engraced to endure patiently, in Jesus name.

Quote:  It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience – Julius Caesar

Prophetic Decree:  Haste shall not rob you of the best of God for your life, in Jesus name.

1. I break out from the spirit of haste in Jesus name.

2. O Lord, please open my eyes to discern what you are doing in my life per time, in Jesus name.

3. I receive grace to imbibe the virtue of patience, in Jesus name.

4. Holy Spirit, work in me the virtue of patience, in Jesus name.
