Memory Verse: For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries in the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 14:2 (ESV)
Pastor Femi Lazarus once wrote: I went to minister in a crusade, and when it was time for the meeting to start, the locals of the land had gathered, then the fellow who was supposed to take the song in their dialect refused to do it because someone among their pastors got her angry, so I took the microphone and began singing in tongues, then to my amazement the people erupted and began shouting for joy, as they sang after me.
What I didn’t know was that the song I was singing was in their local dialect which I didn’t even know, I couldn’t even say good morning in their language talk less of singing in their dialect. God is mysterious in His ways, when things looks so difficult, just tune to His realm and it will amaze you how much wisdom and will He has to help us in every situation.
Similarly, a pastor went to a petrol station, and was led to start speaking in tongues while he fuelled his car. Unknowing to him, he was speaking in the local dialect of a dear brother who has been trusting God for direction. That’s it! Our dear brother now know what to do to move his life forward. Dear friend, if you are born again and you are yet to be baptized with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues you are missing one of your salvation benefits.
What do you do?
1. Rededicate your life to God.
2. Passionately desire the Holy Spirit.
3. Learn to wait upon the Lord alone prayerfully.
4. Enrol for a Holy Ghost baptismal class in your Church.
5. Seek impartation from a genuine Pastor.
N.B The Holy Spirit cannot be bought with money, and speaking in tongues cannot be learnt. It is a gift from God the Father in whom there is no variableness.
The devil cannot understand your prayers when you speak in tongues because it is an heavenly language. Speaking in tongues clears off every clog in your inner man and consequently helps you to easily access the throne of grace.
Quote: Do you want to be mysterious? Then speak in mysteries.
Prophetic Decree: Right now, receive fresh baptism of the Spirit of God in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus
1. Thank You Jesus for the promise of the Holy Spirit.
2. I command the channels of my spirit to open up, in Jesus name.
3. I breakdown every citadel of hell in my heart, in Jesus name.
4. Blood of Jesus, purge my mind of every misconception about speaking in tongues, in Jesus name.
5. Holy Ghost, come upon me today. Power of the Most High, overshadow me in Jesus name.
