This write-up is credited to Pastor Bimbo Animashaun. There are three dimensions of wisdom that a minister of the Gospel should strive to operate in constantly by the help of God. They are:

1. SCRIPTURAL WISDOM

2. PROPHETIC WISDOM

3. STRATEGIC WISDOM

Now I’m teaching on these three dimensions relative to God’s plan and purpose for your ministry. If a man of God can get these three dimensions of wisdom right, then there will be no limit to the extent of his success in the work of the ministry.

1. SCRIPTURAL WISDOM:

A minister must be sound in the Word. The Word must form his dominant philosophy and perception of life. The Word must be the basis of his orientation in life and ministry. The Word must form his convictions and also his value system. A minister who isn’t given to the Word will be full of vain human traditions, and when folks ask him questions that require sound Scriptural response, he will remain incommunicado or mislead the people altogether. 2 Timothy 3:15 says, “And that from a child thou hast known THE HOLY SCRIPTURES, which are able to MAKE THEE WISE unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”

Psalm 119:97-98, “O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. Thou through thy commandments hast made me WISER than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.”

This is called SCRIPTURAL WISDOM — it’s THE WISDOM OF THE SCRIPTURES. And it comes through STUDY AND MEDITATION.

In Joshua 1:8, we’re told: “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt MEDITATE therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

The Amplified Version of the latter part of that scripture says, “…AND THEN YOU SHALL DEAL WISELY AND HAVE GOOD SUCCESS.”

Did you get that? Meditation in the Word helps you TO DEAL WISELY in all affairs of life.

The Scriptures therefore are God’s wisdom capsules for the minister.

The Scriptures are the comprehensive equipments of the man of God, according to J. B. Philips Translation of 2 Timothy 3:17.

As a minister, when people ask you questions, you should be able to answer them based on SCRIPTURES; not SENTIMENTS.

To be continued by God’s grace….
