Bible Reading: Hebrews 1:1

Memory Verse:  This charge I commit unto thee, my child Timothy, according to the prophecies which led the way to thee, that by them thou mayest war the good warfare1 Timothy 1:18 (ASV)

A prophecy is a message from God to a person or to a group of people, usually conveyed by His prophets. Isaiah prophesied about the coming of Jesus 600 years beforehand. Indeed, prophecy can be far reaching. Amongst other reasons, prophecy warns, instructs, encourages, or informs God’s people concerning God’s intentions.

Many have been given a word of prophecy but failed to act on it. The Christian faith is an action faith. Many go back home to sleep, or sit down to wait for a prophecy to become a reality, and at the end, it looks like God never spoke. You must ensure that you work and war into your prophecy. Read today’s memory verse again.

There is another set of people you pray for or give prophecies to, that go back to double their work or prayer. Such people start working towards that prophecy. They don’t wait for it to come; they go for it. Such people labour as if they know nothing about grace or favour, and consequently, they leave heaven with no other choice than to bless them.

You have a part to play in prophecy. You can decide what happens with you, or for you by your actions. It is difficult to help a man or a woman who is not ready to push. Such will end up frustrating himself. It is very difficult to help a man or a woman who easily gets tired or discouraged.

It is very difficult to help a man or a woman who is not ready to try. It is very difficult to help a man or a woman who believes they will fail even though they’ve not tried; their mind is tied to failing. You cannot help a man or a woman who is determined to remain small.

Wise people don’t wait for prophecies to come to them; they go for it. Put in every energy required, physically and spiritually, to make sure the prophetic words spoken over your life comes to manifestation. God has said it, but you have a part to play.

Caution:

1. Like Daniel, you must be able to discern times and seasons in the performance of prophecies (Daniel 9: 2-4). Prophecies only come to performance when you war into it ONLY at the right time and in the right season. Don’t run ahead of God. Same for marriage.

2. Like Simeon and Anna, you must be ready to pray until you birth every prophetic word over your life (Luke 2:22-38)

3. Prophecy-failure can never be the fault of God but man (2 Timothy 2:13).

4. Covenant is superior to prophecy. Prophecy can fail but covenant never fails (Matthew 24:35).

Quote:  Until a Man cooperates with God at the right time and in the right season, prophecy is either annulled or aborted.

Prophetic Decree: I rebuke any territorial or foundational principality working against your prophecies, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. I receive grace to tarry on the altar of prayers until all the prophecies hanging over my head comes to performance, in Jesus name.

2. I receive grace to war a good warfare in my mind as touching my life’s prophecies, in Jesus name.

3. I receive grace to work towards my prophecies, in Jesus name.

4. Prophecy killers, my prophecies are not your candidate, in Jesus name.

5. I receive wisdom to understand times and seasons in the making of destiny, in Jesus name.
