Bible Reading: Ecclesiastes 3:1; Romans 8:28; John 18:37

Memory Verse:  He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8 (NKJV)

I celebrate God’s servant, Dr Pastor Paul Enenche on these series. The destiny of the clay is not its decision but that of the potter, and the direction of the aero plane is not its decision but the decision of the pilot. Again, the bearing of a ship is not the decision of the ship, but the decision of the captain of the ship.

In the same manner, every human being created by God and born of a woman is on earth for a purpose; and that purpose it is not our decision but the decision of God that created us. You need to understand that your purpose is not your decision; rather, it is your discovery.

That is, you only discover that which you have been called to be, you don’t decide it. If purpose is a discovery, it therefore means that like the ship, aeroplane and clay, we must allow the Master (God) to help us discover exactly what He created us to be.

THINGS TO NOTE FROM SCRIPTURES AS REGARDS PURPOSE:

1. God is the God of time and purpose (Eccl. 3:1).

2. He has a purpose for what He does and a time for what He purposes.

3. God is deliberate, intentional, calculated and premeditated in all He does (Jer. 1:5).

4. God is never flippant, superficial, shallow or thoughtless in what He does (Jer. 29:11).

5. God is the God who purposes His acts and acts His purposes (Isa. 46:9-10; Acts 15:18).

6. God is the God who does what will count and counts what He does (Gen. 1:16; Ps. 147:4; Luke 12:6-7).

7. God is the God who ends before He begins and begins before He ends (Isa. 46:9-10; Ps. 139:14-16).

8. Your life’s purpose is your discovery not your decision.

Quote:  There is a void in every man no money, fame, glory, influence, or affluence can satisfy save the fulfilment of his purpose.

Prophetic Decree: This year, you will not live a purposeless life, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Father for your hand of direction and correction.

2. Today, O Lord, open my eyes to understand why You created me, in Jesus name.

3. I refuse to run on another man’s lane, in Jesus name.

4. I receive grace for clarity of purpose, in Jesus name.

5. Power of God, remove every scale in my eyes, wool in my ears, and doubt in my heart preventing me from understanding my purpose, in Jesus name.

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (2)

One of the greatest dangers in the life of a believer is not the sins everyone can see, but the ones that hide quietly in the heart. These sins rarely attract attention, yet they slowly drain spiritual strength and weaken a man’s destiny. Hebrews 12:1 says, “Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles”...

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (1)

The Quiet Destroyers are otherwise known as Secret Sins That Ruin Destiny. Many destinies have not been destroyed by loud sins, but by quiet ones. The sins nobody sees. The ones people excuse. The ones hidden behind reputation, ministry, intelligence, or success. Yet heaven sees them clearly. The Bible says, “Be sure your sin will find you out” (Numbers 32:23). Secret sins do not remain secret forever. They slowly weaken the soul until a man who once carried promise begins to lose weight in the spirit...

THE DANGER OF SECRET SIN

Bro. Gbile Akanni once shared a sobering story that has stayed in my heart for many years. He spoke about an elderly evangelist whom God used mightily in the past. In those days there was no television, only radio. When this man of God preached, people would gather around their radios. Sometimes he would say, “Place your hand on the radio.”...
