Bible Reading:  Habakkuk 2:1-3, Genesis 13: 14-15

Memory VerseWhere there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)

There is a strong connection between your purpose and your vision. God, through your spirit, reveals to you your purpose, while your soul through the eyes of your mind must see it continuously. God could have spoken about your purpose, but can you see it with the eyes of your mind? (Habakkuk 2:1-4). Until God’s ultimate purpose for your life translate into a lifetime vision, it may soon fade off. Vision can perish. Vision can fade off.

It may interest you to know that though God had spoken to Abraham about His purpose for his life, He still had to device a means of making him see it with the eyes of his mind. That’s vision! No wonder He told him to come out and look into the sky if he could count the stars; he also told him to observe the sand of the sea shore. Genesis 13:15 (NLT) says, “I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession.”

Facts About Vision?

1. Dr Myles Munroe said it succinctly, “Purpose is when you know and understand what you were born to accomplish and vision is when you see your purpose in your mind and begin to imagine it.”

2. Vision is the mental picture of a desired future.

3. Your vision will always reflect your purpose as a child of God.

4. Vision is the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom.

5. Vision is the mental picture of a desired future borne out of purpose.

6. Vision does not only tell us what to do, your vision should also tell you what not to do. When you wake up in the morning, having had your quiet time, get a pen and a paper, and write out your plans for the day. It will keep you focused and less distracted. Your friend will not suddenly burst into your schedule and robe you into his own schedule. It will keep you focused.  For a man without a focus, everywhere looks like a way. “Let’s go clubbing”. No, I have a plan for my day. “Let’s go gamble”. No, I have a plan for my day. Let’s go to the cinema during school/work hours”. No, it is not in my list of itinerary for today.

7. Your vision should cut across every department of your life.

8. A person with no vision is worse than a person without sight. Helen Keller, the United States lecturer and writer who was blind and deaf from the age of 19 months (1880-1968) said, “The only thing that is worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.”

9. Vision would put a measure of restrain on you.

10. The eyes are useless when the mind is blind.

11. Everywhere looks like a road without a clear vision.

QuoteThe only beauty of any vision is that it is tied to God’s purpose either for a man, tribe, nation or generation.

Prophetic Decree:  Today, you shall receive a destiny changing vision, in Jesus name.

1. My Father, convert my purpose to a lifetime burning vision in Jesus name.

2. The eyes of my mind, be enlightened by fire, in Jesus name.

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (2)

One of the greatest dangers in the life of a believer is not the sins everyone can see, but the ones that hide quietly in the heart. These sins rarely attract attention, yet they slowly drain spiritual strength and weaken a man’s destiny. Hebrews 12:1 says, “Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles”...

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (1)

The Quiet Destroyers are otherwise known as Secret Sins That Ruin Destiny. Many destinies have not been destroyed by loud sins, but by quiet ones. The sins nobody sees. The ones people excuse. The ones hidden behind reputation, ministry, intelligence, or success. Yet heaven sees them clearly. The Bible says, “Be sure your sin will find you out” (Numbers 32:23). Secret sins do not remain secret forever. They slowly weaken the soul until a man who once carried promise begins to lose weight in the spirit...

THE DANGER OF SECRET SIN

Bro. Gbile Akanni once shared a sobering story that has stayed in my heart for many years. He spoke about an elderly evangelist whom God used mightily in the past. In those days there was no television, only radio. When this man of God preached, people would gather around their radios. Sometimes he would say, “Place your hand on the radio.”...
