Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 13: 8-14

Memory Verse But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)

Perhaps you are trusting God for an admission, marital settlement, job opening, contract, new level, international open door, etc. What must you do while you wait on God? Mind you, waiting on God is different from waiting for God. Waiting for God is the complete opposite. Those who wait for God have an entitlement mentality. They may wait forever without seeing the manifestation of their miracle. People who wait for God cast all the responsibility of their faith on God. This is wrong.

We are co-labourers with Jesus; both have their different roles. The one who wait on God is responsible to God; He is at the instructions of what God wants him to do, just as a waiter must wait to receive instructions from his customer. Our faith must be responsible. Many times while we wait on God, God is carefully working on our character. God is most interested in you progressively becoming more like Jesus hence, He will keep orchestrating situations, challenges, and circumstances that will make you see a weakness in your life that must be mended such that by the time your desired miracle come, you have become a believer better equipped with the capacity to handle such breakthrough, miracle or next level.

Many of us are asking God for what we don’t have the capacity to handle, hence the Lord will subject us to a course in His University of discipleship to learn what we need to learn and must learn before our desired miracles manifest. There are pre-requisites courses (lessons) in the School of the Almighty. Receive the understanding of times and seasons, in Jesus mighty name.

Quote:  Don’t just wait for God, wait on God.

Prophetic Decree: Receive grace to perceive what to do and learn as you wait on God, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. O Lord, thank you for always having my best interest at heart even when I thought otherwise.

2. I refuse to mismanage my waiting period, in Jesus name.

3. Unlike Saul, I shall wait on God till the end without wavering in faith or soiling my hands in iniquity, in Jesus name.

4. Power of God, break every hand of the devil to keep me perpetually in the waiting room, in Jesus name.

5. I submit myself to the breaking, moulding and usage of the Holy Spirit while I wait on God, in Jesus name.
