Bible Reading: John 1: 21-23

Memory Verse: He said: “I am ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Make straight the way of the LORD,” ’ as the prophet Isaiah said.” John 1:23 (NKJV)

WHAT IS PURPOSE?

1. Your purpose is the necessity that influenced your creation by God (1Sam. 16:1).

2. Your purpose is the reason for you in the world.

3. Your purpose is the desire or pleasure you were designed and created to fulfil for the Creator (Rev. 4:11).

4. Your purpose is the assignment; mission or duty you were created to fulfil (Jer. 1:5).

5. Your purpose is that particular duty you were designed to pour your life’s labour, energy and time into.

6. Your purpose is the worth, benefit and value of your existence to both divinity and humanity (1 Sam.18: 7; 2 Sam. 18:1-3).

7. Your purpose is the justification of your existence.

8. Your purpose is the gain, profit, or merit of your life in the earth.

9. Your purpose is that which makes you valuable in the earth.

10. Your purpose is the value you are in the earth to create or add.

11. Your purpose is the difference you are on the earth to make.

12. Your purpose is the sum total of the mark and impact you have been placed on the earth to make.

13. Your purpose is the uniqueness and distinctiveness you are to bring to bear on your world.

14. Imitations abound where people misunderstand their purpose for existence.

15. Your purpose is the outcome or end-product you are in existence to achieve (2 Tim. 4:6-8).

16. Your purpose is the destination towards which your life is headed.

17. Your purpose is the comprehensive program of God for your life in the earth.

Quote: To find fulfilment in life, you need to find your life’s purpose and to find your purpose, you need to ask the One that created you— God.

Prophetic Decree: What stopped your parents from fulfilling their purpose shall not stop you, in Jesus name. 

Prayer Focus 

1. O God of purpose, show me your purpose for my life today, in Jesus name. 

2. Arrow of confusion fired into my heart to deter me from my purpose, backfire, in Jesus name. 

3. Foundational limitations preventing me from working in my purpose, break, in Jesus name. 

4. Evil flow in my lineage flowing against the tide of my purpose, expire, in Jesus name. 

5. Grace for destiny fulfilment, overshadow my life, in Jesus name.
