Bible Reading: John 3: 1-8 , Matthew 7: 21-23

Memory VerseNevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”  2 Timothy 2:19 (NKJV)

1. Salvation is not about a fat bank account.

2. Salvation cannot be bought with money. Ask Elymas (Acts 13: 4-12).

3. Being a philanthropist does not mean you are not saved. Ask Cornelius (Acts 10:1-5).

4. Being in Church does not mean you are saved.

5. Born into a Christian home and having Christian parents does not mean you are saved.

6. Your parents are pastors does not mean that you are saved.

7. Your parents are fervent Church workers does not mean you are saved.

8. You speak in tongues does not mean you are saved.

9. You are used by God to raise the dead does not mean you are saved (Matthew 7:21-23). There are many “disposable vessels” (2 Timothy 2: 20-21). God can use anything (e.g. Balaam’s ass) or anybody for His name’s sake.

10. God is using you to perform miracles does not mean you are saved (Matthew 7: 21-23).

11. You are a powerful deliverance minister with signs and wonders following does not mean you are saved (Matthew 7:21-23).

12. You give to your pastor in cash and/or kind does not mean you are saved. There are many Yahoo boys who have “some pastors” over them.

13. You are not saved because you run a charity home, an orphanage or an organization for the poor. Consider Cornelius in Acts 10:1-8.

14. You are not saved because of any of your good works.

15. You are not saved because you have the blessings of your pastor, prophet, or the priest in your church.

16. You are not saved because you have confessed your sins before a priest.

17. You are not saved only because you went for water baptism.

Take note:

A. Salvation cannot be imputed, transferred, or conferred. Until you accept Jesus as your personal Lord and saviour in your heart, and you confess and renounce all your sins, you are not saved (Romans 10:10).

B. You might have come to Christ because of what you need but you must love God far above all He can ever provide for you or get from Him.

C. One major characteristic of genuine salvation is perfect hatred for sin (2 Tim. 2:19b).

QuoteSalvation is a personal encounter with Jesus as one’s personal Lord and saviour.

Prophetic Decree: Today, you have a new encounter, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. O God our Redeemer, to you be all the praise.

2. I confess all my sins today, and I accept Jesus as my personal Lord and saviour, in Jesus name.

3. Blood of Jesus, wash my heart free from all misconceptions about salvation, in Jesus name.

4. I receive grace to work in the power of the Holy Ghost, and in genuineness of my Christian faith, in Jesus name.

5. Father, please help me to guard my heart with all diligence all the days of my life, in Jesus name.
