You just want that breakthrough now and fast? Are the bills rising, the children wailing and the world seems crashing at your feet? Infact, right now, the Bible does not seem to make any sense to you? All you want is answers to your numerous questions and solutions to the numerous life riddle? Before you give up on Jesus because of the magnitude of your problems, please read on. Guess what their wives did? They rejoiced that their husbands were partakers of the suffering of Christ. There you are still crying over unpaid debt; cursing and abusing Jesus that he has failed you! Your numerous miscarriages are taking its tow on your faith? What about the early Christians who were cut into two equal halves because of their faith. Babies were brought out alive from the womb of pregnant mothers who refused to turn their backs on Jesus as the Emperor and his host laughed and had a swell time. Men were covered with coal tar and tied to the stake while they set them ablaze as their tormentors had a swell time, ate, drank and danced with their concubines as they burned. Do you still want to give up on Jesus because you failed an examination or interview? Early Christians were thrown into the lions den as meat when they refused to deny their faith.
Saint Polycarp was beheaded for his faith, yet, he carried his head on his hands preaching along the way before he finally gave up the ghost. Matthew, the tax collector was clubbed to death while sitting down. Stephen, the first Bible Martyr was stoned to death. Brother Andrew was crucified naked on the cross, with an ‘X’ shape. Mark was dragged on the ground before an idol while he was preaching until his flesh was torn into pieces. John the beloved was left alone in the island of Patmos having refused to die when thrown into a hot boiling oil. Do you still feel like giving up on Jesus because of your “light afflictions”? Should you fail in time of storms, your strength is small.
