Bible Reading: John 10: 27-28
Memory Verse: The sheep that are My own hear My voice and listen to Me; I know them, and they follow Me. John 10:27 (AMP)
There are voices everywhere in the universe; both within you and outside you. Within you, there is the voice of God, the voice of Satan, and the voice of your soul (mind and emotions). Outside of you, there is the voice of your parents, friends, neighbours, society/environment, social media, etc. John 10:27 (KJV), “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
Friends, who is speaking into your life? It is sad but true that for many young ones, it is the voice of the devil through their friends that is shaping their lives and values, and not the Word of God. “My friend wants to study Medicine, so I will also study Medicine.” Are you sure you have heard from God? Your strengths are in the arts and commercial subjects, and here you are lusting after Medicine because of a friend. There is no competition in destiny, dear brethren. You must sustain the emotional capacity to study what you have a natural inclination for.
For many spouses, their friends are their greatest allies. Your friend who is not born again told you how he ‘disciplined’ his wife, and battered her face when she spoke harshly. You did the same the next time your wife couldn’t control her tongue. Who art bewitched you? Masculinity is not in muscles but in wisdom. You must sustain the mental capacity to do only what pleases God regardless of the situation.
Dear wife, your friend told you how she denies her husband of his conjugal rights when she is crossed with him, or when she is in need of money. And now you have started practising same. That’s witchcraft! The art of bending the true counsel of God. You better repent before you destroy your home. Matured couples find a convenient time of relaxation to settle all scores at the nick of time. Who is speaking into your life?
Thou Social Media frenzy! Why do you love your phone more than the Word of God? You are on Tiktok, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc, all at the same time from morning till evening. When will you catch your own personal revelation from God. Even adults are now becoming social media addict. Worse still, many are following circular people on their social media platforms. Repent and be restored. You must sustain the ability to edit and sieve whatever you hear. Once it is not scriptural, you banish it.
Quote: Those who are wise subject their inner and outer ears only to counsels in line with the Word of God.
Prophetic Decree: Let the fire of God burn all evil voices within and around you, in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus
1. I receive grace to be disciplined in my hearing, in Jesus name.
2. Holy Spirit, deny my inner ears access to the voice of destructive counsels, in Jesus name.
3. I silence the voice of strangers within and around me, in Jesus name.
4. I receive grace to know how to hear, in Jesus name.
5. Wisdom from God, overshadow my heart, in Jesus name.
