Bible Reading: Luke 21: 1-4
Memory Verse: For they have given a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she has. Luke 21:4 (NLT)
Other reasons why some Christians are not blessed include:
4. Short sightedness: There are many people who have been working for an organization for several years who today are meant to be an employer of labour. Having learnt the fundamentals of a trade or business, please start up something for yourself? Hardly can an employee be richer than his employer. Do you know God was blessing Laban because of Jacob? (Gen. 30:27). Similarly, God could be blessing that company you are working for simply because of you. Obviously, they are not obligated to give you more than what you initially bargained for as salary while they become richer. Now comes the time your Jacob must leave Laban and start a conglomerate to the glory of kingdom. You will not die small, in Jesus name.
5. Lack of understanding: Prayer is good. Fasting is great. But, you need to engage these spiritual exercises with adequate understanding. Learn to use the right spiritual implement for the right harvest. Do you want to be wealthy in this Kingdom of God? You must be a giver. When you pray and fast, you prepare the ground for planting. Many Christians stop at this point. When you give to God and His servants, you sow a seed on the prepared ground. Learn to balance both sides of this equation. 2 Samuel 24:24 (NIV) says, “But the king replied to Araunah, “No, I insist on paying you for it. I will not sacrifice to the LORD my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen and paid fifty shekels of silver for them.” Do you want a bountiful harvest? Then, sow a sacrificial bountiful seed. Give cheerfully and not under duress (2 Corinthians 9:6). Never complain that you don’t have nothing to give. Even the poor widow at the temple still gave out of her penury. Jesus said she gave the highest (Luke 21:1-4). Give in cash and/or kind. Giving magnetizes the angel of prosperity unto us.
Quote: You didn’t give because you don’t have. You didn’t give because you have no revelation.
Prophetic Decree: Receive a giving heart this Year 2023, in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Focus
1. I receive the giving grace, in Jesus’ name.
2. By the risen of mu sacrificial giving, I break the stronghold of poverty, in Jesus’ name.
3. Holy Spirit, lead me to sow at the right time and on the right ground for prompt manifestation of my miracles, in Jesus’ name.
4. I break out of from my Laban, in the name of Jesus.
5. I refuse to be short sighted. I receive grace to travel far, in Jesus name.
