Bible Reading: Romans 10: 14-17
Memory Verse: How can people have faith in the Lord and ask him to save them, if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear, unless someone tells them? Romans 10:14 (CEV)
WHY YOU MUST ARISE TO EVANGELISM AND MISSIONS?
1. Because Time Is Running Out: Romans 13:12 says, “The night is far spent, the day is at hand.” We are in the final moments of history. Signs of the end time – wars, moral decay, deception, false doctrines, etc., are unfolding before our eyes. Every second, an estimated two people die without hearing the Gospel. When the trumpet sounds, evangelism ends forever. The opportunity to reach the lost will be gone. Souls can only be saved on this side of eternity. After death, there’s no second chance (Hebrews 9:27).
2. Because Multitudes Still Haven’t Heard: Romans 10:14 says, “How shall they hear without a preacher?” There are over 3 billion unreached people in the world today mostly in the 10/40 window (North Africa, the Middle East, and parts of Asia). Some have never heard the name of Jesus once. In Afghanistan, less than 0.02% are Christian. In Yemen and Somalia, owning a Bible can cost your life. In parts of North Korea, believers are executed for their faith. If we don’t go, who will? If we don’t speak, how will they hear?
3. Because Hell Is Real: Matthew 25:46 says, “And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” Hell is not a metaphor. Jesus spoke more about hell than heaven. This was not to frighten, but to awaken. Every day, souls slip into eternity, some into everlasting separation from God. Evangelism is not about growing churches; it’s about rescuing souls from eternal loss. If you saw your neighbour’s house on fire, you wouldn’t debate theology, you’d run to help. The world is burning spiritually. Love compels us to act.
4. Because the Harvest Is Ripe but Labourers Are Few: Luke 10:2 says, “The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few.” All around us in schools, offices, cities, and nations, people are hungry for truth. Depression, fear, and hopelessness are rampant. Many are quietly asking, “Where is God?” Yet, too many believers are silent. The issue is not a lack of harvest, it’s a lack of labourers. When believers rise, nations can change overnight. In China, during the 20th century persecution, the church grew underground from about 700,000 to over 100 million believers. Why? Because ordinary men and women became fearless evangelists.
Quote: The world is burning spiritually. Love compels us to act.
Prophetic Decree: Receive the compelling power of the Holy Ghost to make bold of the Gospel of Christ, in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus
Thank you Jesus for loving the world. Thank you for dying for me while I was yet a sinner. I receive grace to love you more dearly, and from the abundance of such love, I shall bring out many from the pit of hell into the everlasting light of the kingdom of God, in Jesus name.
