Bible Reading: Romans 10: 14-17

WHY YOU SHOULD ARISE TO EVANGELISM?

5. Because Comfort Has Replaced Compassion: Amos 6:1 says, “Woe to them that are at ease in Zion.” We have grown comfortable in our churches, conferences, and online ministries while millions perish spiritually. The Church is not meant to be a cruise ship for saints, but a rescue ship for sinners. The devil doesn’t need to destroy a comfortable believer; he only needs to distract them from their mission.

6. Because Jesus Died for All: 2 Corinthians 5:15 says, “He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves.”  Jesus didn’t die for a few, He died for all. His blood cries out for every tribe, tongue, and nation. When we stay silent, we dishonour the price He paid. Evangelism isn’t an obligation; it’s a response to Calvary’s love. Real love cannot stay silent.

7. Because We Are the Light and the Salt: Matthew 5:13–14 says, “You are the light of the world… You are the salt of the earth.”  If the light doesn’t shine, darkness wins by default. The world isn’t perishing because darkness is powerful, but because the light is dim. In Europe and the UK today, church attendance has dropped sharply. Many youths no longer know basic Bible stories. We are witnessing the rise of a post-Christian generation unless believers rekindle the flame of evangelism.

8. Because Revival Starts with Evangelism: Every great revival in history, from Azusa Street to Wales to Nigeria’s Gospel explosions, all began when someone decided to go and tell. Revivals don’t start in conferences; they start in compassion for the lost. Reinhard Bonnke once said, “Evangelism without the Holy Spirit is like a fire without fuel.” When evangelism becomes our lifestyle, revival becomes inevitable.

9. Because God’s Heart Beats for the Nations: Psalm 2:8 says, “Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance.” Missions is not a human idea; it’s God’s heartbeat. From Genesis to Revelation, His desire has always been to redeem all peoples. Every believer is either a goer, a sender, or a stopper. Which one are you?

10. Because We Were Saved to Save Others: Matthew 10:8 says, “Freely you have received, freely give.” We are not containers of grace; we are channels. You were not saved to sit; you were saved to serve. The Gospel came to you because someone didn’t keep it to themselves. Now, it must not stop with you.

Most people do not come to Christ as an immediate response to a sermon they hear in a crowded setting. They come to Christ because of the influence of an individual – John MacArthur.

Prophetic Decree:  Receive a measure of what was in the heart of God when He sent Jesus to die for your sins, in Jesus name. 

Prayer Focus 

O Lord, like Jeremiah, let your Word burn like fire in my bones. Help me not to be quiet until the gospel is preached all over the world. If need be, like the early fathers of faith, help me to hazard my life for the sake of the Gospel (Acts 15:26).
