Bible Reading: Proverbs 12:18, 13:1, 13:10,14:1

Memory VerseThe path of life leads upward for the wise to keep him from going down to the grave. Proverbs15:24(NIV)

Catch wisdom:

1. On posterity: We must shift our thinking away from short-term gain toward long-term investment and sustainability, and always have the next generation in mind with every decision we make – Deb Haaland.

2. On mindset: Change your mindset. You don’t get in life what you want, you get from life who you are.

3. On conviction before marriage: “I may not know where he is coming from but I know where he is going”  – Matthew Henry’s wife to her parents.

4. On truth: The bittersweet about truth is that nothing could be more hurtful, yet nothing could be more helpful – Mike Norton.

5. On purpose:  It is more tragic to be alive and not know why than to be dead and not know life –  Dr. Myles Munroe.

6. On prayerlessness: One major sign of pride is prayerlessness. If a drug is important for your staying alive, you will create time to use it despite your busy schedule. Prayer is similitude of such a drug to an humble Christian.

7. On wrong direction:  When you’re in the wrong direction, speed is not an advantage –  Apostle Orokpo.

8. On success: Success is not obtained overnight. It comes in installments; you get a little bit today, a little bit tomorrow until the whole package is given out. The day you procrastinate, you lose that day’s success – Israelmore Ayivor.

9. On making excuses: There is a lie in between a promise and many excuses  –  Toba Beta.

10. On wickedness:  The wickedness of the wicked is wickedly wicked, and it must return to their head – Psalm 7:16

11. On using soft words: Advice is like snow; the softer it falls, the longer it dwells upon, and the deeper it sinks into the mind — Samuel Taylor Coleridge

12. On spendings: There is a mode of life for prosperity. It is not only about hardwork and the anointing. Watch your spendings too.

13. On divine guidance: God’s leadings may appear foolish but it is the gateway to the fullness of His blessings – Bishop David Oyedepo.

14. On being good: Don’t treat people as bad as they are. Treat people as good as you are. Each gives what he has.

Prophetic Decree: May your life command enviable results, in Jesus name.

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (2)

One of the greatest dangers in the life of a believer is not the sins everyone can see, but the ones that hide quietly in the heart. These sins rarely attract attention, yet they slowly drain spiritual strength and weaken a man’s destiny. Hebrews 12:1 says, “Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles”...

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (1)

The Quiet Destroyers are otherwise known as Secret Sins That Ruin Destiny. Many destinies have not been destroyed by loud sins, but by quiet ones. The sins nobody sees. The ones people excuse. The ones hidden behind reputation, ministry, intelligence, or success. Yet heaven sees them clearly. The Bible says, “Be sure your sin will find you out” (Numbers 32:23). Secret sins do not remain secret forever. They slowly weaken the soul until a man who once carried promise begins to lose weight in the spirit...

THE DANGER OF SECRET SIN

Bro. Gbile Akanni once shared a sobering story that has stayed in my heart for many years. He spoke about an elderly evangelist whom God used mightily in the past. In those days there was no television, only radio. When this man of God preached, people would gather around their radios. Sometimes he would say, “Place your hand on the radio.”...
