Bible Reading:  1 Corinthians 9: 25-27.

Memory verse:    Therefore come out from them, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch nothing unclean; then I will welcome you. 2 Corinthians 6:17(RSV)

Simply put, hormones are chemicals produced by the body to help one part of the body communicate with another, by sending signals to certain organs, tissues, and cells. Sexual hormones include testosterone in males; estrogen & progesterone in females.

Thanks to my Biology teacher. The hormones mentioned above are responsible for changes in human bodies into adulthood. Unfortunately, these hormones have left many careless persons in trouble.

Bode and Tade are notable Romeo and Juliet in school. They are always seen in the corners of the school premises. All to no avail have their teachers tried to checkmate their excesses. They went about freely without caution after the dictates of their hormonal body changes. Today, Tade is out of school after a complicated abortion, and Bode has since absconded!

There is this natural attraction between members of the opposite sex at puberty. This notwithstanding must be well handled. You shouldn’t be hanging around with that boy in the wee hours of the night, or in that dark corner. It reduces your self-resistance. Many have made themselves a victim of sexual assault due to carelessness. Secrets only happen in the secret. Be warned!

God gave Adam the Garden of Eden but required of him to manage it effectively. Genesis 2:15.  Your body is given to you to manage effectively.

Action word:  Manage Your Hormones Wisely.

Prayer points:

  1. Iput my body under subjection, in the mighty name of Jesus.
  2. My hormones, hear the Word of the Lord, you shall not destroy my destiny in the name of Jesus.
