Bible Reading: Psalm 34: 19-22

Memory VerseYet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:37 (NKJV)

He could call himself the “sickest” child of his mother. Other children get sick but, he was the sickest of all. When playing at home, convulsion suddenly starts. The black ball of his eyes (pupil) would roll inside leaving the white coloured part (sclera) visible. When his mum was 6 weeks pregnant, she bled excessively, but the pregnancy wouldn’t abort. At nine months when it was time to deliver, she went to the hospital. The midwife and others told her she was not yet in labour. His mother said, “This is my 5th pregnancy, I have delivered 4 times, you should expect me to know labour pains by now, shouldn’t you?” She got annoyed, went back home and made up her mind she wasn’t going back to the hospital again. She delivered him at home on the bare floor!  Nobody present. No midwife. No nurse. She delivered the child on the ground at home, delivered the placenta herself, and cut the cord before help could come, not minding the risk of contacting tetanus, meningitis, bronchial pneumonia, diphtheria, and septicemia. Indeed, the battle of destiny started a long time ago.

Brethren, I have just described the circumstance surrounding the birth of God’s servant, Pastor (Dr) Paul Enenche in Nigeria. When his mother came to his Church for one of the weekly meetings tagged, “Healing and deliverance service”, and she watched all manner of signs and wonders, she looked at his son and said, “No wonder the devil hated you so much. The devil knew you were going to deal with him so terribly, so he wanted to stop you.  Now, I understand.”

Lessons

1. The battle for destiny can start from the womb.

2. Your battles in the school of life is usually tailored along your purpose. If you are destined to be a kingdom financier tomorrow, the devil will surely come after your finance. If you’re destined to work in healing and deliverance, you will have a lot of spiritual battles to fight. The Oil of grace usually flows from the scars incurred by the anointed.

3. Sometimes, God will not deliver you from problems, but will see you through the problems when He has chosen to prepare you for an assignment (Isaiah 43:2).

4. With God on your side, you are unstoppable despite the myriads of battles surrounding your destiny (Psalm 34:19).

Quote: Your victory was settled over 2,000 years ago on the Cross of Calvary.

Prophetic DecreeA thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you – Psalm 91:7(ESV)

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Jesus because You have always been there for me through thick and thin.

2. I declare: This battle (mention it) has not come to bury me. I will surely triumph because it was finished on the Cross of Calvary.

3. I rebuke all family witchcraft powers sponsoring affliction in my life, in Jesus name.

4. My strong enemies shall surely meet their waterloo after the order of Goliath, in Jesus name.

5. The refuse to fall into the pit dug for me by my ancestors, in Jesus name.
