Bible Reading: Luke 24:49

Memory VerseBut ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me… Acts 1:8 (KJV)

The language of the spiritual realm is power, not grammar. Good intentions, lofty ideas, good education, and right exposure, etc, are all wonderful, but grossly inadequate without the power of God to drive them.

1. The Promise of Power

Jesus knew that knowledge, zeal, or good intentions were not enough to change the world. He commanded His disciples to wait until they were endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49). The same applies today. Spiritual power is not optional; it is essential for effective Christian living as a student, career person, professional, minister or artisan.

2. The Purpose of Power

God’s power is not given for showmanship or self-promotion. It is given for witnessing; to reveal Christ through words, works, and wonders. (Mark 16:17–18). True power aligns with God’s mission, which include saving souls, breaking yokes, and advancing His Kingdom.

I. The power of God makes your life and testimony irrefutable proof of His reality: John 4:48 says if this people do not see signs and wonders they will not believe. Power is God’s signature for relevance in the Spirit. In the kingdom of God, words without power are mere noise. The proof that you have encountered God is the energy that flows from your life.

II. Power is Needed to Enforce God’s Will on Earth: There are spiritual powers that resist the purposes of God. Only men of power can enforce His counsel. The world lies in wickedness (1 John 5:19). It takes superior energy from the Holy Ghost to subdue the forces that contend with destiny, revival, and territory. Psalm 66:3 says, “Through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.”

III. Power is the Language of Dominion: It is power that grants you territorial voice. Until you carry power, your words don’t register in the spirit. Dominion isn’t achieved by shouting; it is established by spiritual authority. This authority is born from encounters and prayer-generated power. Luke 10:19 says, “Behold, I give unto you power… over all the power of the enemy.”

Quote:  The world will not believe our doctrines until they see our dimensions.

Prophetic Decree: May power that cannot be confronted fall upon you, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Power as of old, overshadow my life, in Jesus name.

2. I refuse to be a powerless Christian, in the name of Jesus.

3. Fresh fire from heaven, overshadow my life, in Jesus name.

4. O Lord, please give me the right motive in my quest for power, in Jesus name.

5. I receive the enabling power of the Holy Spirit to save souls, break yokes, and advance God’s Kingdom, in Jesus name.

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (2)

One of the greatest dangers in the life of a believer is not the sins everyone can see, but the ones that hide quietly in the heart. These sins rarely attract attention, yet they slowly drain spiritual strength and weaken a man’s destiny. Hebrews 12:1 says, “Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles”...

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (1)

The Quiet Destroyers are otherwise known as Secret Sins That Ruin Destiny. Many destinies have not been destroyed by loud sins, but by quiet ones. The sins nobody sees. The ones people excuse. The ones hidden behind reputation, ministry, intelligence, or success. Yet heaven sees them clearly. The Bible says, “Be sure your sin will find you out” (Numbers 32:23). Secret sins do not remain secret forever. They slowly weaken the soul until a man who once carried promise begins to lose weight in the spirit...

THE DANGER OF SECRET SIN

Bro. Gbile Akanni once shared a sobering story that has stayed in my heart for many years. He spoke about an elderly evangelist whom God used mightily in the past. In those days there was no television, only radio. When this man of God preached, people would gather around their radios. Sometimes he would say, “Place your hand on the radio.”...
