Bible Reading: Matthew 25: 14-30

Memory Verse: Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.  John 12:24 (NKJV)

In year 2012, two multinationals came together to sponsor a musical show in Nigeria called Nigerian Idol. Those nights, many wonderful singers came from many parts of the country and contested. Mercy Chinwo, out of all those contestants won the contest. Millions of viewers all over the world stood still for her.

Her name was ringing bells all over the place. Many expected that she was going to be appearing on posters and banners. Some were disappointed that she was not getting endorsements. Many of her fans said she had failed them. From 2012 till 2018, nobody heard from her. That was her silent years. A season of divine incubation.

A season of divine preparation. A season of divine making. Receive grace to endure such seasons. Today, God has introduced her by Himself to her generation. Minister Iyke Oriaku once said, “I respect her. Not because she can sing with a good voice but because she had every opportunity to join them in Babylon. She got chances to start singing naked, just to maintain the stardom she got from Nigerian Idol.

Whatever held her down is what I call grace because it is not easy to see your light dwindling before your eyes when you have chances to join them to do nonsense, so as to still be in the media.” Obviously, God surrounded her with great voices. What a power of divine preservation. We are all witnesses today that Mercy Chinwo has mount up with wings as Eagle after waiting upon the Lord.

How can a young man singing in Zion leave to go sing for Satan in Babylon? When you see a girl that wants to leave church choir to start singing in clubs, remind her of this testimony. She had the opportunity but turned it down and remained on the Lord’s side. That drumming skills was given to you from the Lord, don’t use it drumming for worldly musicians.

That writing skills was given from the Lord for His glory, please don’t use it writing unedifying things because they sell in the present. That piano skill was given to you for the edification of the Gospel of Christ, please don’t commercialize it. Wait for the Lord to bless and announce you in His own time. God’s time is always the best.

Quote: Waiting upon the Lord seems foolishness in the present but it is pathway to a glory that never fails.

Prophetic Decree: The spirit of Babylon will not harvestt your talents, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. O Lord, please give me the grace to settle down in Zion until you announce me to my generation.

2. I repent and rededicate my talents and gifts only to the glory of God, in Jesus name.

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (2)

One of the greatest dangers in the life of a believer is not the sins everyone can see, but the ones that hide quietly in the heart. These sins rarely attract attention, yet they slowly drain spiritual strength and weaken a man’s destiny. Hebrews 12:1 says, “Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles”...
