DWOJ Daily Words of Jesus Devotional Post July

Wednesday, 27th July, 2016.

Scripture Reading:                    Genesis 34: 1-2.

Memory verse for the week:     Job 14:7

“For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender shoots will not cease.”(NKJV)

SCRIPTURAL WISDOM ON HOW TO AVOID BEING RAPED

  1. Be careful of those you call your friends especially if you haven’t known them for too long.
  • Be assertive. There is no need to be polite when anyone is making unwanted sexual advances. Firmly tell the person “No”. Learn to say no!
  • Keep personal information private. Be wary of meeting with anyone whom you met on the internet.
  • Always keep your phone charged. It could be your saving grace someday.
  • Don’t dress seductively. Why would you want to attract potential rapist by your dressing?
  • Yell “police”, “fire” (or whatever your local emergency number is). This could attract help from a passer-by if you are waylaid.
  • Above all always cover yourself with the blood of Jesus. If it is not the Lord who watches over the city, the guards are wasting their time Psalm 127:1(ERV)

ACTION WORD:        WISDOM IS THE PRINCIPAL THING.

PRAYER POINT:

  1. I shall not be a victim of any unfortunate circumstances, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Every foundation of rape in my ancestry, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
