Scripture Reading:    Gal.5:22-23.

Memory verse for the week:   Heb 1:1-2

Long ago God spoke to the fathers by the prophets at different times and in different ways. In these last days, He has spoken to us by His Son. God has appointed Him heir of all things and made the universe through Him. (HCS)

7) FAITH: This is firm and unwavering believe in God. It is the lifeline of every believer. The just shall live by his own faith (Hab. 2:4). A teenager lost his dad who happens to be the breadwinner of the family in JS2. He made up his mind never to be a drop out. By having faith in God by the help of the Holy Spirit, working hard on his studies; and sometimes doing some menial jobs, today, he is an undergraduate. Praise the Lord.

8) MEEKNESS:  It means to be humble. Are you humble to accept corrections from your Parents and teachers? Don’t be too proud to say these 3 things: (i) “Sorry”, when you’re wrong, (ii) “Thank you” for a help rendered. (iii) “Please” when you need assistance. Allow the Spirit of humility in you. Are you a prefect in school? In meekness, discharge your duties.

9) SELF CONTROL: Also called Temperance. It is the ability given by the Holy Spirit to control oneself. It also means moderation, constraint, and the ability to say “no” to our sinful desires and fleshly lusts. My precious teen, how do you react when angry? Do you control yourself on what you watch on the internet and cable tv, the type of music you listen to, your choice of clothes, in your thoughts, words and actions?  Let your light so shine before all men! Mat 5:16.

ACTION WORD: STRIVE TO BE A CHRISTIAN INDEED.

PRAYER POINT:

  1. I receive great grace to control myself in words and deeds in the name of Jesus.
  2. Holy Spirit empower me to leave a life worthy of you, in the name of Jesus.
