DWOJ Daily Words of Jesus Devotional Post March

Saturday, 4thMarch, 2017.

Bible reading: Dan 1:1-10.

Memory Verse: “Young men in whom there was no blemish, but good-looking, gifted in all wisdom, possessing knowledge and quick to understand, who had ability to serve in the king’s palace…”Daniel 1:4(NKJV).

I’ll want to enjoin you to join a club of the Saints of old. A club where destiny is shaped and life is given a meaning. It is called the Daniel’s club. The Daniel’s club is a club established by God to shape young minds into His plan and purpose for their lives.

The name Daniel is an Hebrew word לאֵּיִנָּד (Daniyyel) meaning “God is my judge”.

Judges play many roles. They interpret the law, assess the evidence presented, and control how hearings and trials unfold in their courtrooms. Most important of all, Judges are impartial decision-makers in the pursuit of justice.

A Judge rules and exercise dominion over his people. If truly God is your judge, you must know what it means to be in the city of this great King and comport yourself according to His rules, learning of Him.

God is still in the business of raising young minds. He “sits on them” just as a mother hen sits on her chicks until they are hatched. His purpose of sitting on them is to prepare them specially for the task ahead in their chosen profession and ministry.

Quote: God cannot be your judge and you won’t judge over the affairs of men. Dare to be a Daniel.

Prophetic Word: The Lord will seat on your life until you are made in the name of Jesus.

Prayer Point

  1. I receive grace to join God’s own club – the Daniel club, in Jesus name.
  2. My life shall not speak contrarily to God’s counsel for my life, in Jesus name.
