Bible reading: Heb.4:15-16

Memory Verse: The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands. Psalm 138:8(NKJV)

Alaboh Anthonia sat for WAEC six times but today, she’s DELSU first class graduate. Anthonia was the second best graduate from Delta State University, Abraka in the 2014/2015 academic session, and she graduated from the Department of Mathematics with 4.70 CGPA. She was nine years old when her parents divorced, so as the first of three children, she had to assume the role of a mother for her siblings. There were lots of challenges from coping with numerous house chores, her academics, and having to do the things she wasn’t used to but God saw her through. Her teen Pastor and her dad were very supportive, though her dad lost his job about that time.

Anthonia refused to allow the bitter pill life gave her to swallow affect her performance in school despite the psychological effect of her parents’ divorce. She failed Mathematics and English in her first WAEC but JAMB was not a challenge. Nevertheless, she made up her mind to keep writing the exam until she had all her papers in one sitting at the sixth attempt. She finished from secondary school in 2002, but didn’t pass all her papers at once until 2008. She was resolute not to combine results. Having a first class wasn’t easy for her. It involved discipline, determination, focus, sacrifices, and above all, God’s grace. “When I got to school, I planned not to go to parties or the beach. I didn’t venture into things that could waste my time, I had a concrete and workable plan for each day, I decided to start reading as soon as lectures began and I tried to have foreknowledge of my courses by studying ahead”, she said. How do you see numerous life problems? As an obstacle or opportunity to show case your best that is yet to be revealed?

Quote: When life throws lemons at you, turn them to lemon juice.

Prophetic Word: The Lord shall strengthen your heart and take you to your destination, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus:

  1. Powers contending with my destiny, somersault and die, in Jesus name.
  2. Every evil flow from my Parents to me, dry up, in Jesus name.
  3. Witchcraft sponsored problems against my destiny, die, in Jesus name.
  4. O God arise, take me on the Eagles wing to my mountain top in destiny, in Jesus name.
  5. I reject demotion, in the name of Jesus.
