Bible Reading:  Lamentations 3: 22-26

Memory Verse: “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” Lamentations 3:24 (ESV)

Sometimes you are delayed where you are because God knows there is a danger where you are headed. Failed contract? Broken engagement? Plummeting income? Compulsory retirement? Backdrop in educational pursuit? Turbulent marriage? Miscarriages? Perhaps some of these characterized Year 2020. Hey friends, God still got your back! He will never leave you nor forsake you says the scriptures. Do you know some people think God is still angry with them because of the various mistakes of yesterday? Brethren that is a satanic deception in your mind to keep you stagnated and unable to come boldly to the throne of grace.

We all err as children. Yes, God our Father disciplines erring children, but believe me, He disciplines in love. It is His nature to love; He can’t do contrary. Stop brooding over yesterday’s mistakes. A lot lies ahead in this New Year. So many opportunities and exciting surprises. Dare to believe. What happened last year already happened. Why cry over spilled milk? The mercy of God when deployed can correct your past and colour your future. Stop thinking of your mates that have gone ahead of you. What about them? Brother, you don’t know who you are.

Can you compare a destiny as big as an elephant to that of an ant? Their gestation period (days of incubation in the quarry site of the Almighty) defers. My dear sister, that brother may have jilted you, but that is better than a failed marriage. Let him go. A new wine is coming your way. Prepare for a new wine skin. I hear the sound of abundance of testimonies in Year 2021 if you will dare prepare your way. “Good things come to those who believe, better things come to those who are patient, and the best things come to those who don’t give up.”

Hymnal: Sing the hymn “My hope is built on nothing less”.

Quote: Life without mistakes is like, education without books – AhmadA.

Prophetic Decree: The Pharaoh of your past shall perish without resurrection in the Red sea, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Any King Herod assigned to my destiny in Year 2021, die, in Jesus name.

2. Authority of ease, overshadow my efforts in Year 2021, in Jesus name.

3. I receive a mighty inner strength of the Holy Ghost, in Jesus name.

4. Evil star gazers firing arrows at my star, be wasted, in Jesus name.

5. Holy Spirit, engrace me to live far above my past, in Jesus name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:  Genesis 4-7

HYMNAL: MY HOPE IS BUILT ON NOTHING LESS

1. My hope is built on nothing less

Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;

I dare not trust the sweetest frame,

But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

Chorus

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;

All other ground is sinking sand,

All other ground is sinking sand.

2. When darkness veils His lovely face,

I rest on His unchanging grace;

In every high and stormy gale,

My anchor holds within the veil.

3. His oath, His covenant, His blood,

Support me in the whelming flood;

When all around my soul gives way,

He then is all my hope and stay.

4. When He shall come with trumpet sound,

Oh, may I then in Him be found;

In Him, my righteousness, alone,

Faultless to stand before the throne.
