Permit me to amplify the voice of a fellow co-labourer on this matter: There is this growing culture and deception amongst certain Christians and ministers especially in the prophetic movement that allows them to engage in sexual immorality as long as they will do 3-7 days dry fasting after the sin as an act of atonement unto God. Many are locked up in Prayer camps to fast because they engaged in fornication, and these has become not just a fall but a lifestyle to them.
One of such people told a younger believer that as long as you fast after the sinful act, God should be OK with you. Does God eat fasting? Haven’t you heard that the prayers of a sinner is an abomination to God. Proverbs 15:8 (CEB) says, “The LORD detests the sacrifices of the wicked, but favors the prayers of those who do right.” Are there no better things to fast for than this continuous fast of disobedience while your heart is not broken in genuine repentance?
Strange doctrines keep creeping into the Christendom in these last days. 1 Samuel 15:22b (CEV) says, “No! He doesn’t want your sacrifices. He wants you to obey him.” Who told you that it is all sacrifices that are accepted unto God? Please note that, “The LORD is more pleased when we do what is right and just than when we offer him sacrifices.” Proverbs 21:3 (NLT). God is still insisting on Repentance via Consecration and Uprightness not using the fast of disobedience to appease Him as a culture.
Use fasting as a means to draw closer to God by subduing the flesh. Isaiah 58:6 (NLT) says “Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the [a] heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke?” Desist from using fasting as a cover up for your sexual lust and continuous disobedience. The fast of disobedience is real, but God frowns seriously at that Babylonian culture. Repent and be baptized into righteousness.

Prayer Focus
1. Thank you Jesus for your rod of correction.
2. I repent of my sins of wilful disobedience, in Jesus name.
3. Holy Spirit, please baptize us with the correct mindset about fasting, in Jesus name.
4. Holy Spirit, please deliver me from the sin of fornication and adultery, in Jesus name.
5. I break the shackles of hell within and around me, in Jesus name.
