Bible Reading:  Matthew 7: 7-8

Memory Verse:  Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to youMatthew 7:7 (AMP)

By laws of prayers we mean rules guiding the act of prayer. Such laws further include:

4. Law of accuracy:

a. You broke a person’s heart, then you got married to another person. Now, the fruit of the womb seems difficult. Perhaps you need to go ask for forgiveness before your prayers can be answered. Behind many delay and hindrance to the open heavens of many is someone aggrieved that needs to release and free them from his/her heart. Search your heart today. You cannot relegate restitution to the background and think your prayers will be answered.

b. If you must forgive, you better do. If you must rid yourself off bitterness, you better do.

c. Sometimes, before there can be answers to your prayers is a needed prophetic seed to your prophet, honour to your parents, or deployment or your gift for kingdom service. Your prayer plus that needed sacrifice is what produce result (Matthew 5:23-24).

d. Furthermore, there are different types of prayers. Prayer of thanksgiving, prayer of worship, prayer of supplication, prayer of request, prophetic prayer, deliverance prayers, etc. If you pray a prayer of supplication when you are meant to pray a prayer of deliverance, you may not have a commiserate answer. The realm of the spirit operates by laws.

5. Law of specificity: Be specific in your request. I’m sure you don’t want anyhow miracle, then why pray without a focus. It’s sad but true, many don’t know what they want in life. How then do you know when your prayers have been answered? Ask and you shall be given (Matthew 7:7-8).

6. Law of faith: James 1:6 (ESV) says it all: “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.”

QuoteThe Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Power helpeth our infirmity in prayer. The Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Life ends our deadness in prayer. The Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Wisdom delivers us from ignorance in this holy art of prayer. The Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Fire delivers us from coldness in prayer. The Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Might comes to our aid in our weakness as we pray – Leonard Ravenhill.

Prophetic Decree: May the Lord of mercy veto all hindrances to your prayers, in Jesus name

Prayer Focus

1. I receive grace to stay daily on my prayer altar, in Jesus name.

2. I receive wisdom to pray accurately, in Jesus name.

3. O Lord, please open my eyes to areas where I need to make amends for my life to move forward, in Jesus name.

4. I receive grace to pray the right type of prayers for the right types of harvest, in Jesus name.

5. I receive grace to let go of unforgiveness, bitterness, and hatred, if this is what will move my life forward, in Jesus name.
