Occasionally I get up to stretch my leg or use the rest room. I noticed a number of people watching movie through the inflight entertainment and mostly were horrific movies. After some hours, I decide to watch my inflight screen too and I scrolled for a long time finding something decent to watch. It was such a difficult task as they are either horror movies, war movies, or something else.

I was wondering what kind of collection is this on a standard airline. Finally, I found a movie of a young girl and her father, I read the synopsis and it looked okay I thought and I put on my earpiece and started to watch. To my disappointment, I noticed the line of the movie was not godly (I was not expecting a Christian movie but at least something moral) and I stopped it immediately. This is one that can corrupt the heart. I was quick to recognise it as the Lord helped me. 

Oftentimes we see movies and music that looks okay, and we sit down and begin to watch it not realising that the door to our Spirit man is through what we hear and what we watch. So, a lot of ungodly ideas are being fed into the Spirit man unknowing.  Recently, I read the story of a man whose wife went to get a cutlass and put under their bed as motivated by a movie they both watched. She saw women fighting as warriors and got ideas from it waiting for a time the husband or anyone else will misbehave and she would use it on such. 

Many terrible ideas that some have today about marriage, church, money, etc., are gotten from movies. Many rape cases, incest, fornications, adultery, impatience, foul words, etc. are gotten from some movies. The good news is the godly alternative that God has provided through Christian movies. Many are getting inspired to trust in the Lord, understand the power in the name of Jesus, learn perseverance, cultivate better relationship, and prepare for eternity (heaven or hell), through these evangelical movies. Sometimes ago, a sister told me she watched our movie, “IF IT IS GOD” and prayed the prayers therein while she was going through a similar challenge and she got her miracle. It is important to watch what we feed our spirit as heaven-bound believers.

The more we go deeper in the Lord, the more we must feed right. Imagine watching a movie tactically laced with immoral scene or horrific scenes all in the name of inflight entertainment while going on a kingdom assignment. It is like depositing evil, it will manifest in days to come. It will make you vulnerable to the enemy. If your appetite for the things of God is high, you won’t have room for garbage. Feed well on God’s word.

Prophetic Decree: I cast out any demon in your life borne out of entertainment, in Jesus name. 

Prayer Focus 

1. Holy Spirit, purge my appetite for the things of the world in Jesus name.

2. I receive grace to live a life of absolute consecration, in Jesus name. 

3. I receive grace to consecrate my heart, my eyes, my ears, my nose, and my body, in Jesus name. 

4. I receive greater grace for deep self-discipline and insatiable appetite of gospel content, in Jesus name. 

5. Holy Spirit, please help me to retrace my steps back from any media trap I am addicted to, in Jesus name.
