Bible ReadingRomans 12:2

Memory Verse:  And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]Romans 12:2 (AMP)

If you are familiar with the computer, you will understand the meaning of copy and paste. You copy a particular document and then you paste it into another document. This is a similitude of what our lives should be. We are to copy what the Father says of us in heaven and paste it on earth. Just as a dramatist, we are supposed to be acting out a script in the heart of the Father here on earth.

Our lives becomes a glory of the will of the Father when we live our lives exactly according to the dictates of our Father in heaven. However, this is not usually the case. The will of man could be so stubborn.

Jeremiah 6:16 (AMP) says, “Thus says the LORD, “Stand by the roads and look; ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is; then walk in it, And you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it!’.”

We become a pain in the heart of the Father as we drift along our own selfish path. For most people, God will simply allow them to go their own way after he has warned them severally with signs and parables. You are successful at what you are doing does not mean God is fully involved.

You may simply be in His permissive will and not at the centre of His perfect will. Our generation really need to be careful of what we define as success. Cars, money, gold, houses, etc, ARE NOT THE TRUE definition of success. True success is only measured by your compliance to the will of God for your life per time.

Like Joseph, you can be in the prison and God is with you. Like Joseph you can metamorphose into the palace and still God is with you. Just be where He wants you to be per time. Similarly, like Saul you can be on the throne as king over Israel but God who initially brought you to the throne as long ago abandoned you on the same throne He chose for you. It is all about your alignment with His will per time.

Look at the phrase, “and you will find rest for your souls” in the scripture Jeremiah 6:16 that was earlier quoted. Your soul will never find the rest it truly desires until you submit your will to the will of the Father, and do His bidding for your life. Brethren, dare to live your life according to God’s bidding for your life no matter the cost. The pain of compliance to His will is lighter than the pain of disobedience to His will. Receive understanding in Jesus name.
