Bible Reading: 1 Timothy 6: 6-11

Memory Verse But those who [are not financially ethical and] crave to get rich [with a compulsive, greedy longing for wealth] fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction [leading to personal misery]. 1 Timothy 6:9 (AMP)

If you know the number of ladies that will be willing to die in order to have a celebrity sleep with them, you will be amazed. Such frivolous relationships has produced what is popularly known as “Baby Mamas”. They are simply contented being named after the “big boys”. They unashamedly flaunt the houses, cars, money, etc, “their catch” showers them on all their social media platforms commanding great followership. To them, “they are living large.” You see, until you bring yourself under the Lordship of Jesus, the cycle of pain continues. You will be rejoicing in mediocrity. While you are enjoying life, destiny is passing you by. Wise people stay under the Lordship of Jesus. Is Jesus actually at the centre of your life?

Similarly these days, young movie stars suddenly become one of the many wives of a multibillionaire! Come on, a young lady with a promising future consciously and voluntarily decided to become the fourth wife of a man all because of money!! With pride, she posts almost everything she does, she eats, she buys, and she wears on the internet. Of course, many atimes the motivation factor is money and not love. Imagine the newspaper caption: 18-YEAR OLD ACTRESS MARRIES 62-YEAR OLD MULTIBILLIONAIRE. This generation! Who art bewitched us?

On the flip side, there are young male teenagers who now delights in marrying wealthy old women who boss them around and perhaps turns them to a sex slave. Whoredomy! When the primary motivation of your relationship is money, you are most likely going to err against God, and probably destroy or fracture your destiny.

Young people, please be warned. Money is good, yes I know. But, be careful the way you go about it. The love of money is the root of all evil. Money gotten outside the counsel of God will lead to pain and eternal doom. Bring God to the centre of your life. Bring your life under the Lordship of the Lord.

Quote:  Any venture sponsored by the lust for money is capable of destiny sabotage.

Prophetic Decree: Temporal satisfaction shall not deprive you of eternal glory, in Jesus mighty name.

Prayer Focus

1. O Lord, please forgive me of all the idols of my heart, in Jesus name.

2. Lord, I know I’m not genuinely born again. Please have mercy upon me, wash me by your Blood, and establish me in you, in Jesus name.

3. O Lord, please help me to say No to sin, self and the world, in Jesus name.

4. I break out from every evil entanglement in my soul, in Jesus name.

5. Spirit of sexual immorality in my life, catch fire, in Jesus name.

6. I uproot the love of money in my heart that propels me to doing abominable things, in Jesus name.

7. I will not lay my destiny on the altar of money, in Jesus name.
