Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 15: 9-10
Memory Verse: You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. 1 Corinthians 9:24 (MSG)
I celebrate the grace of God upon Pastor George Izunwa. Can you imagine someone who did not see Jesus, and who persecuted the Christians yet went ahead to become the greatest amongst the Apostles? About two thirds of the New Testament book was written by a man who never saw Jesus physically. Apostle Paul simply overtook other disciples. May you come from the background to the forefront, in Jesus name. The stone the builders rejected can still go ahead to become the head of the cornerstone.
HOW DO YOU BECOME A CHAMPION?
1. Decide to be Ahead and Above the Rest: If you are ever going to be a leader in your generation, you want to be a champion in any area, dream big and never settle where your mates settle. Decide to be ahead and above your contemporaries. Several young people can decide to play football at the same time. While some decide to play in the European Premiership, others can take it for granted. Never settle for less.
Your decision determines your drive. Before a particular person joined an organization, he was broke but was very ambitious, so he kept pushing forward until he got his Master’s degree. Today, he is gunning for his second Master’s degree. He has a top position he is aiming for, and he is warming up to compete with anyone who is equally interested in the position. If you are a business person, student, musician, or worker; start thinking big and move with great passion. There is no law against big dreams. Never hang around with nothing to do.
2. Think big but be willing to start small: Be focused on getting the present right. One problem with young people is that they have big dreams but are not focused on getting the present right. What you are doing now determines what you will achieve in the future. Give yourself the permission to start small, you can always grow. When people are told that God will bless them, they want it immediately, but it does not work like that. Keep that big dream in view even as you conquer your present. Dream big but be willing to start small.
BE A PART OF WHAT GOD IS DOING IN THIS GENERATION. PARTNER WITH THIS WORK OF GRACE TODAY.
