Bible Reading: Proverbs 14:34
Memory Verse: Righteousness [moral and spiritual integrity and virtuous character] exalts a nation, But sin is a disgrace to any people. Proverbs 14:34 (AMP)
There are testimonies that exemplifies certain scriptural verses such as our text for today so explicitly. Three persons were given a contract worth 8 million naira ($8,000) each. Two out of the three contractors did not finish the building project. The other contractor who happens to be a Christian did not only perfect the contract but returned #3.8 million balance. Even the financiers asked him if he was okay. 2 Corinthians 8:21 (NIV) says, “For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of man.”
However, he won their trust. Subsequently, he was elevated and given several supervisory roles within and outside his state. My brethren, “Righteousness indeed exalt a nation”. On a particular site where he was told to supervise, the contractor who was an occultic man threatened to kill him. He made the biggest mistake of his life. That same night, the God of this brother arose and he died in a motor accident around 10pm. Who can battle with the Lord? That brother was dwelling in the Rock of Ages, you collide with him, He smashes you. He collides with you, He grinds you into powder because he has a clean hands and a pure heart. On another day, he received a phone call.
The person said he was coming to meet him in his office. On the said day, three people arrived and asked for an umpteenth time to confirm his name. Of course, he did. Then, they looked at him and said that was his last day on earth. The trio brought our three different guns and in a sudden twist of events, instead of them firing the gun at him, they began to shoot one another. May the bullet of darkness fired at you and your household backfire at your enemies, in Jesus name. God deliberately allowed one of the hired assassins not to die immediately until after all his detailed confessions. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surround those that trust in Him.
Ponder on this:
1. Can you be like this brother? In this season of bitting world economic hardship, will you stand for righteousness? You can’t return the balance of #500, how then will you be able to return the balance of #3.8 million?
2. Like Daniel in the midst of corrupt officers in Babylon, when you are anointed for an office and you guard your consecration rites, be sure of Jesus’ protective power over you.
Quote: Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out – Proverbs 10:9
Prophetic Decree: The grip of unrighteous living is broken in your life, in Jesus name.
