Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 4:20
Memory Verse: And I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved. 2 Corinthians 12:15 (NKJV)
Jack Coe (March 11, 1918 – December 16, 1956) was an American Pentecostal evangelist nicknamed “the man of reckless faith”. Jack Coe was that rugged, tenacious and audacious healing Evangelist with so much charisma and fervour. He preached in large tents having mammoth crowds in America with so much passion and gave an aggressive approach in praying for the sick.
Despite he was sometimes aggressive in his approach, his aggression was born out of a mixture of an intense compassion for the sick and a vehement hatred against the works of the devil. Jack Coe was so anointed that in some cities where he held crusades, hospitals would use their emergency vehicles to carry patients whose conditions were incurable to be healed.
These patients were often laid on stretchers and the beautiful thing was that, at the end of each meeting, they either walked or ran home. In one meeting, over 20 stretchers were emptied. Coe would always decorate his pulpits and crusade tents with clutches and all manner of walking aids belonging to those who had been healed in his previous meetings.
This he did to stir faith in the hearts of those present and to ridicule Satan and his works. He was a man of prayer. His biological son Jack Coe Junior once testified of how his father would return from a meeting late at night, tired and drained and would still be found on his knees praying all night. Though he lived a short life, he caused great damages in the kingdom of darkness during his life time.
In one of his videos, he laid hands on a cancer patient and the cancer practically and tangibly fell off before the camera. He preached holiness and did not end his meetings without calling sinners to the altar for repentance. The impact of his ministry has transcended several generations.
Lesson: Jack Coe’s life emitted the raw power of God to save and to heal. What will be said of you after you have left this earth in time and in eternity? What eternal legacy will you leave behind?
Quote: You must be heavenly conscious and earthly relevant.
Prophetic Decree: May your heavenly account be filled with relevant testimonies of destiny impact while on earth, in Jesus mighty name.
