Bible reading: Acts 9:26-31
Memory Verse: But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil.Psalm 92:10 (NKJV)
In 1953, after her treatments were over, Rudolph chose to follow in her sister’s footsteps and began playing basketball. While playing for her high school team, she was spotted by a coach named Ed Temple. This became a major breakthrough for her. The day Ed saw her for the first time, he knew he had found a natural athlete.
Lesson 4: No matter how skillful, talented or gifted you are in life, someone sent by God must introduce you else, you die in oblivion. Paul, the greatest Apostle of the New Testament was introduced to the body of Christ by a man called Barnabas before he could be accepted (Acts 9:26-31). We all need Destiny Helpers to stretch full length and go the extra length in destiny.
In 1994, U.S. named her Route 79 in Clarksville, Tennessee as Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. Again, nine months after Rudolph’s death, Tennessee State University, on August 11, 1995, named its new six-story dormitory as “Wilma G. Rudolph Residence Center”.
Lesson 5: If you will dare to live a life worthy of recommendation, be sure you will be immortalized long after your death. Strive to write your name in the sand of time. The only answer to the insults life throws at you is outstanding results.
Quote: After survival in the school of life comes significance.
Prophetic Word: The Lord will make your name memorable for all round exploits in Jesus name.
