Bible Reading: Proverbs 25:1, Hebrews 12:1-2

Memory Verse:  Such a large crowd of witnesses is all around us! So we must get rid of everything that slows us down, especially the sin that just won’t let go. And we must be determined to run the race that is ahead of us. Hebrews 12:1 (CEV)

Other ways by which you can capture Year 2024 include:

1. Discover God’s plan for your life (Proverbs 25:2): Dearly beloved, until your will is lost in God’s will, you are just making a fool out of life. Ask God to reveal to you His plan for your life. Yes, you must have a vision, but does the vision align with God’s programme for your life? You are only successful if you are fulfilling the will of the Master. May the ladder of your life not lean on the wrong wall in this year 2024, in Jesus name.

• Flee from weights (Hebrew 12:1-2): What are weights? Weights are not necessarily sins but are things that have entangled your life and could lead to sin. As you grow in Christ, you must outgrow some certain things. Your walk with the Lord will eventually lead you to a place of greater consecration where some definite rules meant for you are guarding your life. Keep growing in grace.

• Be exceptional (Daniel 6: 3-4): It is the value you give that determines those who will be attracted to you. Go the extra length in your work for the Lord and in the work of your hands. Refuse to be a mediocre. Be excellent. May the Lord magnify the little things you do before nations, in Jesus name.

• Be a giver: Proverbs 11:24 (BSB) says,  “One gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds what is right, only to become poor”. No matter how ungrateful those you have helped may have proven, please do not stop giving. Giving is your ticket to abundance.  

10. Be a prayer addict: The devil remains a roaring lion seeking for who to devour (1 Peter 5:8). Prayer is the lifestyle of every serious Christian. While you must create time to be with the Lord, please do not miss talking with the Holy Spirit throughout the day. As you wash the dishes, during your break, in the rest room, amidst your friends, keep talking with Him. Smith Wigglesworth does not go without talking with the Lord every 30 minutes.

Prophetic Decree: I block every avenue of glory leakage in your life, in Jesus name. 

Prayer Focus

1. I rebuke every spirit of spiritual weakness and coldness, in Jesus name.

2. O Lord, deliver my soul from sin and weights that easily besets, in Jesus name.

3. I receive grace to be exceptional in words, conduct, and in character, in Jesus name.

4. I receive grace to be a giver, in Jesus name.

5. I receive grace to mortify the works of the flesh, in Jesus name.
